Twitter Blu Ray
Wednesday, July 31, 2019
Thank you for pointing me in the right direction where I found a little comp to win a blu-ray and I won! Three of us won blu-rays and they arrived very quickly and this was just after hubby had said to me "why don't you ever win films for me?" Now I do - then I went on to win a DVD of the Queens Corgis which is not even out at the pictures yet, so he was very pleased. We often have a little film watching evening and its a lot cheaper than going to the pictures, these days, as we can have our own comfortable couch and snacks! Thank you PF!
Three little July prizes
Wednesday, July 31, 2019
It has been quiet on the prizes front for a while so nice to have three little wins in July - they were even all in one week. A teddy bear from Facebook comp and some new Guylian chocolate bars from another Facebook comp, then a book from an online comp. Nice to be winning again. The chocolate looks very tasty and they even delayed sending it from Belgium due to the heatwave in Europe so it arrived nice and ready to eat. It is the small prizes that keep you going when wins are scarce and helps you to keep motivated to keep on entering.
My first Instagram win!
Wednesday, July 31, 2019
I’ve had my first Instagram win this month! I have won a portable mobile phone charger which has been something I’ve wanted for a while so it was lovely to win one. I have never won on Instagram before, and I wondered if perhaps the success rate was quite low on this type of competition, but this has given me the motivation to keep on going with them. It has been nice to link up with other compers on Instagram too. I love the fact that I’ve won something I really wanted, even though it perhaps is just a small win! It’s still exciting!
Shipyard Beer
Wednesday, July 31, 2019
July has been a no prize month with the exception of 2 T-shirts from the Shipyard Beer daily comp. I new I'd won 1 but the second just turned up out of the blue.
Comp related, and as a reminder to others not to keep vouchers too long before using, I had an interesting time trying to use some Eurotunnel vouchers I won 9 years ago !!! My fault, I know. They had stopped issueing vouchers 4 years ago and although they were still valid it took hours and a very complicated process to redeem them and I'm still waiting for the actual tickets.A Trip to Lyon!
Thursday, July 25, 2019
I entered a competition which was closing in a few hours, for a trip to Lyon to see the womens football final , the following day I had a telephone call from the Telegraph saying I'd won! The prize included flights, hotel, transfers to the game, a City Card and 400 euros. It was for 4 people too, so I took my husband and at just a weeks notice , it was a nice surprise for my brother and sister-in-law. I hadn't won much since last year, when thanks to Prizefinder , I was lucky enough to win VIP tickets to the Womens Final at Wimbledon! People say I'm lucky , but I know its down to Prizefinder.
2 Tickets to Madness at the Races!
Tuesday, July 23, 2019
I entered a competition to win 2 tickets to Madness at the races at Doncaster Racecourse, I’ve always wanted to see them and never been to the races so this would be a win win for me. The competition was through gleam or rafflecopter all of which I’ve been skeptics about due to all the tasks you need to do to gain more entry, however, it really paid off this time! I took my partner and we had an amazing evening and a great first experience at the races and a boogie to all our favourite Madness songs!
A DIY honeymoon video service
Tuesday, July 16, 2019
I'm getting married in November, so I've been entering all the wedding competitions on Prizefinder. I've so far won a wedding cake, and my latest win is a DIY honeymoon video package from Shoot It Yourself, which I found via Prizefinder on the "Brides" website - all we need to do is send some clips from our honeymoon, and they edit it for us unto a gorgeous keepsake. We are going on a cruise around the Caribbean and South America, so there will be plenty to include - I'm especially excited about swimming with stingrays, my lifelong dream!
Fantastic surprise win!
Tuesday, July 16, 2019
I've been very lucky in the past but I'd begun to think about giving up comping after a 9 month spell of virtually no wins but thousands of entries. Then I had this surprise parcel delivered yesterday and it's renewed my faith in my hobby! Being veggie, having my own little bbq means I can now join in with the carnivores without wrapping everything in foil. The basket is gorgeous and I even have my own tools now! Obviously it's also perfect for camping and summer days out! Thank you Prizefinder for making these wins so simple to find.
Surprise Win
Monday, July 15, 2019
I had a lovely surprise last week when these embroidery silks and scissors turned up out of the blue from X-Stitch Gold Magazine. It was just a prize draw listed in The PrizeFinder. I do a lot of x-stitching so these beautiful silks will come in very handy especially the metallic ones.
I just love this hobby, you never know what will turn up next. I have been very lucky over the years winning some lovely prizes both big and small and nothing beats the excitement of the postie knocking on the door with a parcel you are not expecting.
