Still quite new to comping but December has been my best month yet. I had 5 wins in 2 weeks. Some big prizes and some pretty small (a pack of mentos). But a win is a win and still good. But my favourite was some beautiful boot wellies. There so pretty and arrived super fast. Can't wait to wear them out this winter. Hope my luck continues through next year

  • A Fast and Furious Suprise

I had been ill and a friend recommended I take up comping. I spent a few hours entering comps, and then waited not expecting to win anything. A few weeks later my daughter came into the living room and said she had taken a call from a man who said we had won a car and would I ring him. I said no, someone was playing a joke on us. As my daughter insisted, I got my husband to ring. To my suprise, he got though to the european director of MTV. And yes I had won a car, a limited edition alfa romeo. A model that was featured in the film Fast and Furious 6. I was speechless, which is somewhat unusual. And to top it all, the dashboard had been signed by all the cast of the film including Vin Diesal and the late Paul Walker. We picked the car up Two weeks later, since then I have been a comping addict, and regular visiter to theprizefinder.com

My first winning weekend away was a brilliant stay in Nottingham. This included lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast and lunch on Sunday all paid for. The highlight however was free tickets to the Nottingham Beer & Cider Festival where in a moment of madness I bought my husband a Robin Hood hat which he refused to remove all day probably due to the beer and cider he "sampled". However as my clever grandaughter pointed out it could have been worse because we could have won tickets for an Easter Bonnet Parade and heaven only knows what he would have gone as then. The photo enclosed was taken with us at the restaurant and his hat under our mattress in the hotel!

I remember winning a competition every day for nearly a week last year in the advent competitions. However, this year started brilliantly then nothing since. Still, can't complain as I won a fabulous jam and conserves set which will be either a perfect and easily wrapable gift or a bit of indulgence for me! Fingers are crossed for winning at least one more thing in the daily advent competitions this year.

  • World Premiere Fantastic Beasts in New York

In November I entered a comp on Magic Radio to win a trip to New York for the world premiere of Fantastic Beasts. My daughter and I are massive J K Rowling fans, i spent a few days gwtting a poem together as a 50 word effort was required. I received a call on the Friday morning from Magic Radio telling me we had won and on the following Monday we were on our way to Heathrow Airport! We had 3 nights in New York, had a brand new coach tour relating to the movie, and on the night of the movie we walked the red carpet and saw Jk Rowling and the main actors from the movie. It was truly a money cant buy experience and made more exciting due to finding out on the Friday then leaving within 3 days. My daughter who came with me cried when I gave her the good news!

    Thursday, December 1, 2016

We have had a lucky month with my daughter being shortlisted as a finalist in Thomson's name our plane competition. We had a great day playing on the dreamliner and coming up with ideas to make flights more fun for kids. What made it even more special was it was my daughter's 6th birthday so the captain and crew sang her happy birthday. We didn't win the holiday to Mexico but had an exciting day and made some fantastic memories!

I was lucky enough to win a bundle of halloween sweets from Swizzles and Families UK - two huge tubs and 5 bags of sweets. Needless to say I was over the moon, as was my son and partner! To top it off I won not only one, but two deluxe Christmas trees from Balsam Hill, one for myself and one for my nominated person (My mum) thanks to the Prize Finder. This obviously meant that I had to try my new tree out straight away so it has been Christmas since November in our house! They gave us a choice of trees we could select from and my Mum an I both ended up picking the same tree - worth £250 each! This is by far my best win yet and has definitely made Christmas a bit more special in our house. Merry Christmas :)

I haven't won anything for a while on here so I was really pleased when I won the Lily O'briens daily competition and I won myself a box of chocolates. I haven't tried them before and absolutely love chocolate so it will be a real treat when they arrive through the post :-)
