Several small wins again this month from a variety of competition types. I really enjoy watching the Shetland detective stories on TV so was delighted to win a copy of Cold Earth by Ann Cleeve from a Real People competition. A couple of crafting books from Cross Stitching magazine turned up only yesterday and earlier in the week a Blu-ray of Paths of Glory. Other small wins have come via instant win competitions. A bottle of Ace stain removing liquid was a Facebook win and I have won a couple of vouchers on the Bob’s Books Bingo and have until the end of January to decide how to use them. Even the evil one on the Wychwood Brewery has coughed up a pen from the cauldron as a consolation prize. Thanks to all the links on Prizefinder I’ve entered loads of competitions this year, trying new types of contest, too, such as Facebook competitions and so far have won at least one prize every month.

November has been my luckiest month this year with 9 wins instead of my usual one a month.

From Facebook I got Go Ape tickets, a calendar and a Lees of Scotland box of their biscuits and sweets.

Had a good month, I started it winning a pair of slippers from sheepskin worth £85, going to give them to my mum for Christmas. I then won a children's book and the new TMNT DVD. I was also tweeted today to tell me I had won some power rangers toys after tweeting a picture of my 3 year old son meeting a power ranger at the Hamleys parade. My son is obsessed with power rangers so am thrilled with that win. I really love winning him things.
Kew Gardens Magic
Tuesday, November 29, 2016
After a pretty good 2015, 2016 has been a bit slow in regards to wins and I hadn't actually won anything since back in April when I had an email to say that I had won tickets to the Kew Gardens Christmas Preview Evening through a Delia Smith Competition. That in itself was amazing, but when I turned up on the night, I was also given a wonderful Kew Gardens hamper, filled with a mug, a Christmas ornament & Christmas cards, marmalade, soap, tea and sweets all in a lovely picnic basket.

Sunday, November 27, 2016
"Me and My Moggies" ran a competition asking for stories about our pets. I entered and Brian won. Photo is of Brian with his prize.
This week’s Moggy of the Week is hedgehog-friendly kitty cat, Brian from Brecon, Powys in Wales.
The first ever winner of our Present Purrfections’ sponsored Moggy of Week is Brian from Wales.
Brian lives with his sister Foxy, brother Victor and mum Sarah Price, in the Welsh town of Brecon in Powys.Sarah got the three siblings three years ago and said: “We have a large cottage garden and encourage hedgehogs as they are getting rare. Brian is not only long haired but also very friendly with the hedgehogs.”We can just see Brian befriending them in the garden for some fun playtime together and it made us smile! So, we picked this little long haired cutie to win his mum Sarah a free cat-face shaped foldaway bag from Present Purrfections. As an aside, it’s not very well known but hedgehogs can have fleas so, if your cat is like Brian and likes to run about with them, check that she or he is treated regularly to stop them scratching.Sarah is a great mum who has already done this: “I grow an aloe vera plant and after research found out that I can rub the gel of this plant onto Brian’s skin directly, and already he seems more relieved from the itching”.Good job Sarah – keep up the great work and be sure to send us a pic of Brian with his spiky friends!Luxury trip to Indonesia
Sunday, November 27, 2016
I was lucky enough to win a trip to Indonesia with the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism- WonderfulIndonesia. It was called #tripofwonders and I had to answer 10 questions on Indonesia. There were 12 prize winners and the quiz was scored based on number of correct answers, time taken and sharing on social media. I was the only UK winner and there were over 2000 entries. The trip was amazing. The paid for our international flights to Bali, then internal flights to Labuan Bajo. We had 3 nights in Indonesia and 4 days spent yachting to different islands, seeing the Komodo dragons, snorkelling, trekking, swimming. They paid for all our meals and gave us 5 million rupiah in cash (£300) The hotels were very good standard. We were treated like royalty. It was amazing. We met other prize winners from South Africa, Germany and Canada who were lovely. It really was the trip of a lifetime. We visited 7 of the 17000 islands in Indonesia- incredible trip. We would definitely love to go back. We stayed an extra 3 nights in Bali at a lovely resort and the Indonesian people are the kindest most hospitable I have ever met.

Two weeks in Tobago baby!
Tuesday, November 22, 2016
Back in June when it was apparent summer wasn't going to be happening in the UK I was staring out my window at work dreaming of white sandy beaches and turquoise waters...so I googled. This is when I found the PrizeFinder and all the holidays to be won. In a mad panic I applied to all I could, near, far, places I couldn't tell you where they were! I thought nothing of it and weeks passed. Another dreary day into work on the train I messaged my other half saying that I wish we could be on a deserted island somewhere. Low and behold, later that day I receive an email from The Guardian telling me I had won a two week holiday in an eco lodge in Tobago! At first I didn't believe it, thought it must be a scam so I looked through my history of competition entries and there it was!! We are now booked in and dreaming of our two weeks in the sunshine in March at www.castararetreats.com (after a quick check on google maps as to where it was!!). Thank you Prize Finder, you literally answered my thoughts :)
