  • Finally a one click win!

    Monday, January 7, 2019

I have always entered the 'one click' competitions run by the radio stations/magazines (I think they are all Baeur Media?) but never had luck and did not believe you could possibly win from such a low effort competition. However just one week into 2019 and I have won a prize from Trail Running magazine! It is a pack of protein shake/teas and a lovely travel mug - couldn't ask for a better prize for the new year as this will be great with helping with my health based new years resolutions! Thanks Prize Finder, here is to a bountiful 2019

A lovely surprise from Dorset Cereals 3 boxes of their new spectacular grains breakfast cereal and 2 lovely china bowls turned up this morning. It was from an instant win from their website and they have delivered really quickly which makes a lovely change, always good not having to chase prizes. Looking forward to trying them, the flavours sound really delicious with lots of exotic fruits and berries. The bowls look really good quality too and as they are nice and deep will be handy for other things also. I love my hobby you never know what is going to turn up next. I didn’t win much last year so I am hoping this is going to get me off to a good start. I enter nearly all my comps through The PrizeFinder as it’s so easy to enter so thank you everybody and happy comping for this year to all.

  • A year's worth of yarn

    Saturday, January 5, 2019

Both my daughter and I are keen on knitting and crochet. We both have health problems which affect our mobility so crafting is something we both really enjoy, and something we often do together. And we are quite competitive about getting our knits finished.
I also enjoy comping as something to pass the time, and as a way of sometimes being able to provide me or my loved ones with the occasional treat.
I was absolutely delighted when this huge box of yarn turned up. I did remember entering it - just an online form that I had to fill in. But I had not had any email or anything to say I won so it was a wonderful surprise.
The yarns are all really nice colours. Lots of variagated yarns which I really like, and which often cost a bit more. There are 52 balls, so one a week, and I would say that's about perfect to keep me going for a week.

I entered a competition on F&F Clothing's facebook page without really thinking, I knew the answer so just had a quick go! A couple weeks later I got a notification to say they had liked my comment so I looked to see if everyone's had been 'liked' - they hadn't. Next thing I knew I got a message to say we had won! It was a set weekend for celebrating Mickey's 90th Birthday. We got return Eurostar travel, 2 nights at one of their lovely hotels, breakfast, lunch, dinner, a free tea party with Minnie, an exclusive gala dinner with Mickey, other characters and other winners from Europe. In our room there were 4 goodie bags and 2 big Mickeys on our beds and we had VIP areas for all the parades and shows. It was amazing!

  • Lots of little wins in December

I have had lots of little wins throughout December. The first was some books; “The Wandering Worm” and “The Greedy Fish” – Haven’t received these yet but I’m looking forward to when they arrive. I had my first ever Twitter Frenzy win (a Shopkins set) early this month, then another one (a Peppa Pig set) about a week later! So it’s safe to say that UKMums.TV are one of my favourites at the moment. In between the excitement of the Twitter Frenzies, I was also playing along with some of the Advent Calendars and the OneStop calendar was generous enough to gift me two presents this month too. I received a bag of Cadburys Snow Bites on one day and a bottle of Canti Prosecco on another day! So I was feeling pretty good, feeling like I’d had my share of wins.. and then boom. WetBrush tagged me in a post on Facebook that I’d totally forgotten about. Something I’d commented on weeks ago and thought I’d had no chance of winning at the time due to sheer volume of entries. Hello 4 new hairbrushes!! So I’m one happy comper – Biggest of thanks goes to ThePrizeFinder, as always!

  • 1st time win

I started online comping in November & 3 weeks later I was delighted to receive a email from the Bauer group. It stated I had won Heat fm's big night in prize which consisted of a 55" samsung LCD tv & surround sound system & £200 uber eats vouchers. My prizes arrived a few days later & all set up now to watch Xmas shows & movies. The uber eats vouchers have been fab also to have a couple of friends round for a feast. Hopefully I will get lucky again in 2019 with prizefinder's help & would love to win a family holiday in the future.

  • Simply GinTastic

This year instead of trying to enter random Advents, I made the decision to target, Gin, Whisky, champagne, wine, vouchers and Hamper competitions. It was a huge success.
    1 luxury Hamper,
    1 Italian Hamper,
    1 Hamper of Rapeseed oils,
    1 butchers hamper.
    3 bottles of Gin,
    Gin Crackers,
    2 bottles champagne,
    1bottle Malt Whisky,
    2 bottles wine,
    2 lots of £20 vouchers.
Also several meals out in the local area, hair products, days out vouchers.
Using various search methods and my favourite site Prizefinder to locate these competitions made December fun and saved us so much money on the food shopping.
Well pleased with my strategy this year. So, it’s Cheers from me!

  • Advent sorted

I was lucky enough to start December by winning a "Distilled" Advent calendar . Finding out is it's a gin, whisky, vodka or brandy evening miniature is like having a win every day . Good motivation for all the actual Advent comps !!
An added bonus is I now know I don't like Tequila and that Liquor 43 is tasty but very sweet.
This is the kind of win I like as it's something I wouldn't normally buy myself but it's very enjoyable to experience all the different kinds of gin and whisky without having to buy a whole bottle.

  • Festive Lunch

    Wednesday, December 12, 2018

After a dry spell of about six months I set about the Advents with not a lot of enthusiasm but lo and behold I was delighted to receive a message from Notcutts Garden Centre to say I had won a festive lunch for 2. I messaged back straight away and next morning my voucher arrived. I have booked a table for next week and even though they were really booked up the staff were amazing so helpful and friendly. It’s easy to get disheartened but then you win something lovely and it makes it all worthwhile.
