Meet Our Latest Winners!

A nice little surprise arrived just before Christmas from Cross Stitch Crazy. A set of eight very cute mouseloft stitchlets, which are little Christmas themed cross stitch projects that when finished, fit in a card and comes complete with envelopes. So some hand made cards for special recipients next Christmas, hopefully. Well I wanted a new hobby so have been trying to win some craft prizes to start me off. So this was perfect and gives me plenty of time to learn and practise in plenty of time for next Christmas!

In February I had a lucky streak of wins - I won 2 books from different comps. I also won an Autotrader jacket (not in photo as gave to friend), dog lead and backpack cover. I had a lucky win of a £25 meal voucher for a local pub as a survey winner and finally a £100 Weird Fish voucher from a So Sensational comp that I found out about from an email from them. I always enter their comps but this is my first win from them. 7 is a great month for me and off to enjoy my pub lunch today. I love comping, never give up as your lucky streak could be just around the corner!

The guardian website has a regular competition for travel tips and I tried to enter a few times last year. After a few attempts I was very excited to find out that I had won, recieving a £200 hotels.com voucher to spend on any hotel on the site.
Part of the fun of the prize was the anticipation of choosing where to spend the voucher, and planning what we would do. We settled on using it to book 4 nights in Puerto de la Cruz in Tenerife in February 2019, to get some winter sun. We went at the start of the month and had the best time. It was such a treat to have some sun and we spent 4 brilliant days hiking in Mount Teide national park, exploring the coastline and eating delicious local food. As a bonus, the hotel was lovely.

Had a bit of dry spell recently so was delighted whilst on win (trip to London) earlier in the month with my mum I won 3 things in one day!! Comps really are like buses! We won:
A 3 course valentines meal for too in a local pub
A carvery for 4 which I used for my mum and step dads 1st wedding anniversary
A Valentines breakfast at Fortnum and Masons which I took my best friend too! Was great fun and over 75 winners and partners, was really posh and very yummy!

I love it when you keep on going even when you don’t win a sausage and then have a great day like mine! I had a small Instagram win of a brow product which is coming soon - can’t wait to try that!

Also had a close win with magic radio for £1000 but I didn’t get on although I was shortlisted!

Now just for that 2019 holiday win....

I won a competition a while back through prizefinder ,and just love entering competitions, so decided to enter one to win a boutique premium box of 12 bottles of mixed wine, and forgot all about entering the competition then on Tuesday the 12 th Feb I recieved an email congratulating and telling me I was the lucky winner and to allow 28 days for delivery .then on Thursday 14th Feb Valentine's day my prize turned up it was a lovely Valentine's suprise ,couldn't have come at a better time.

I have only won on Twitter a couple of times since I have been comping so it was a lovely surprise to have won this week with Dorothy Perkins TuesdayShoesday competition. They were very prompt in contacting me and when they realised that the shoes on offer in the competition were sold out in my size they offered me a choice of one of the other two colours available. As you can see I chose the black pair and they arrived today. They fit perfectly and are very confortable so I am a very happy bunny. I have won some lovely prizes over the years so a big. thank you to The PrizeFinder and all the lovely companies who run the competitions.

I was contacted by Wickers Gift Baskets last week and delighted to win a luxury gift hamper filled with goodies worth nearly £100!

It arrived within a few days, the hamper alone is high quality and can be used over again and all the goodies were of great quality including some hand made Cornish cookies, botanical cola and my favourite Belvoir pink lemonade.

My dream came true with Magic FM - I won a holiday to Florida. It wasn't easy though! I had to go on the radio and play a generation game style game where I had to try and remember as much as possible in 10 seconds - against another player. I scored higher and was pronounced the lucky winner! We are staying in Universal and have tickets to all the Universal parks... I am so excited - we are going for my daughters 8th birthday in August :) She is super excited and now thinks she has the coolest Mum ever!

I find January is like a hangover, nothing much good usually comes out of it and I tend to take a break from entering anywhere near as many comps, as well as lose motivation at the same time!! Of course if you plant a few seeds in November and December there’s always that chance something might come to fruition. This month my only 2 prizes came from exactly that.
A £10 entertainer gift voucher via surprise post and a £100 cheque, both were entry form competitions. So that is lovely and perhaps I’ll get back up to speed in the coming month!

A hamper of CIRIO goodies. As an avid cook, these are ideal for me. I feel a pasta bake coming on. This was also second time lucky, as I won a similar box of goodies last year, complete with a Mocha Pot, which has had it's fair share of use. Admittedly, I did have some breakages (very messy), but the helpful guys at Cirio dealt with that very quickly, and I soon had replacement products delivered. Food related comps are always a big draw for me, as a win very rarely goes to waste. Best of luck to everyone in their endeavours to win prizes.
