  • 27 guide books worth over £300

2011 was my best year for prize winning thanks to The Prizefinder. I have been unwell this year and spend a lot of time laid up in bed so I have lots of free time for comping. It gives me something to do on the long, boring days. One of my best wins last year was a prize of 27 Hg2 books worth over £300. They are beautifully bound and really informative holiday guide books. I won the prize from the National Geographic website. Now I just need to win some holidays so that I can use them or persuade my other half to treat me to a trip. Which do you think would be more likely to happen?

  • Michael's decade of comping pays off!

    Saturday, January 7, 2012

I started doing the odd competition about 10 years ago and got lucky pretty early on with a 2 week sailing holiday around the Canary islands. Since then I've entered more and won more. Since joining ThePrizeFinder I've won a laptop, an Xbox, tickets to festivals, 100 lottery tickets, £1000 to spend at Bosch, a weekend in Amsterdam. I would love to win another holiday - who wouldn't right? Good luck to everyone as long as you don't win the prizes I want!

  • Amazing! Thanks to Di

I posted about my win to Cannes a few weeks ago (18/12/2011) and in that post I said I was going to attempt a recipe comp. I also said Twitter, Facebook and recipe comps are alien territory for me even though I have been comping for years. Thanks to Di Coke's informative Prizefinder blog I entered 3 recipe comps sending in pictures and basic recipe ideas. Well today I won a Waitrose afternoon cookery school for 2 and an overnight stay in London! I had to do a recipe, choose a red or white wine to go with the dish and complete a 20 word tie-breaker. Winning one out of three is pretty amazing and I then had a call to say I have won a luxury hamper from a postcard comp. This week I also won a Red Letter Jewellery making day for two with Marie Claire. What a start to 2012! Happy comping everyone.

  • A new sofa!

I started comping with ThePrizeFinder in May last year as I needed a new TV and couldn't afford one, so I thought I would try and win one! I soon saw how many competitions there were and started entering lots for all different prizes. To my great surprise, after about 1 month I heard that I had won £2000 to spend at sofa.com. I couldnt believe it and I am over the moon with my new sofa. It is the only win I have had, but I am still trying for that new TV! Happy comping!

  • Advent Calendar Success!

I have been a member of The Prize Finder for several years, with a good success rate.
However previously I have not found the time to enter the Advent Calendar Comps and after seeing such a large number listed I decided on a whim that I would enter them this year, and I have been absolutely thrilled with the results. Firstly I have won an amazing 7 night holiday for 2 to Phuket in Thailand in the Dial-a-Flight Advent Calendar on Day 2, and we are hoping to take this in February.
Next came a £50 voucher in the Lidl 'Through the Christmas Keyhole' competition on Day 5, a "Never Mind the Botox" novel and finally £100 worth of Duplo.
I would not have known about any of these competitions if it wasn’t for ThePrizeFinder and it obviously pays dividends to enter early before most compers have discovered them.
Keep up the good work ThePrizeFinder and thank you!

  • I've won over £1,000 worth of stuff!

    Wednesday, December 28, 2011

I have only been 'comping' since August and have won over a £1000 worth of stuff! I have won small things such as fake tan to hampers of chocolate, condiments, a portable DVD player, a bose docking station, lots of vouchers and an iPod Touch! I am truly addicted to comping now and love it when I win! Plus my son had the best christmas ever this year!

  • Cannes on the Red Carpet

    Saturday, December 17, 2011

I have been entering competitions for many years and have used a few different sites. I am finding the new layout at ThePrizefinder really usefull, the skill-based competitions are all together which is great. As for prizes, I went to Cannes in October for 5 days with £500 spending money. This was a win from a radio station in the Horrible Bosses competition. I won an iPhone4 from a daily comp, pottery from a blog, and a photobook for a review. That`s since September. In the last three years I have won a VIP trip to Wimbledon, bikes x 5, £1000 vouchers from the local shopping centre, VIP trip to Jools Holland, numerous theatre tickets, a camera, £100 Matches voucher and a family Merlin card. Also lots of small prizes like books and CDs.
I am now trying to venture into the world of twitter and facebook competitions and this is alien territory for me. I am being guided by the Superlucky Di advice and hope to even try a Receipe comp. Comping is a great hobby and as I like photography and writing it gives me somewhere to channel those photos.

  • 2 wins in 3 weeks

    Tuesday, December 13, 2011

I decided around 3 weeks ago that I would enter competitions as I have been unwell and had nothing to do. I entered so many I forgot what I entered. On Saturday, I got a parcel from Mars saying I won their prize - a jumper and drink. Today I got a call saying I won a Olly Murs CD. Now I can't wait to check the mail as I could win more! Thanks theprizefinder.

  • It Does Happen

    Thursday, December 1, 2011

I started comping earlier this year mainly using this website but gave up after a couple of months after not hearing anything. Then I found a competition on the Tesco Books Blog. All I had to do was submit a question for my fave author Andy McNab! I did so and the other day I received an email informing me that I had won and would be receiving a signed copy of McNabs latest book and a copy of the Battlefield 3 game!

I really never thought I would win anything but I was wrong. You really have to hang in there and just keep trying. After all, it is quite relaxing and fun doing daily competitions and who knows? There cold be something with your name on just around the corner!

    Good Luck!

  • Helps me relax!

    Wednesday, November 23, 2011

I have a very hectic job in Media and I dont get enough hours in the day so I decided 3 weeks ago to get some "me time" back and spend every lunch hour doing competitions for the things I really want, as it has been a tough year money wise!

It was just supposed to be a bit of fun, but you can imagine my suprise when in the last 2 weeks I have won...

Gressingham duck vouchers and a aluminium roasting tray - worth £55

Palmers beauty goodie bag, all sorts of lovely cream and moisturirses worth £75

Readers digest mystery gift worth £14.99

and today from Stylecompare on fb £100 of FLY53 vouchrs, my boyfriend favourite label!

I'm over the moon with this, they were all found on ThePrizefinder in the last 21 days.

The good thing is that I'm only interested in fashion, beauty, travel and food prizes, so it proves it CAN be done without entering everything and anything!!

I've got my heart set on a holiday to NY but until then I am over the moon with my new hobby which means I can afford the champagne lifestyle on a tight budget.

    Thanks Prizefinder!
