  • My iPad Mini and other wins!

I have been entering competitions for about a year now and had a few small wins. I have been on maternity leave, after having my second daughter and found comping a good way of passing some time and having fun.

I was particularly lucky at Christmas Time with the Facebook Advent Competitions - I won a lovely children's story book courtesy of Marks & Spencer and various other small prizes, such as Baseball caps from Weird Fish, they were handy for giving as stocking fillers at Christmas and a year's supply of Salad Cream - Mmmm Lovely!!

And of course a Christmas Hamper from The Prize Finder.

I need to tell you about my latest win though.......
An iPad Mini! Courtesy of IMO CarWash, on Facebook!

I was so excited when I received the email and did not believe it until it arrived yesterday by courier.

So ..... Keep comping folks and it could be you soon!

  • Getting into my Comping groove

I noticed a friend of mine on Facebook talking about winning prize after prize, and when I asked her secret she told me about The Prize Finder. I have now been entering comps for the last couple of months and had the odd small win but nothing to get too excited about. However over 8 days at the start of May I won 5 times.

Firstly I got an email telling me I had won 2 tickets to a secret gig in London, which is really exciting because I am taking my best friend, who I hardly see due as we live 200 miles apart, and also because the friend who got me into comping also won tickets. A couple of days later I got an email telling me I had won a pair of Premier tickets for Ladies Night at Exeter Racecourse, followed the next day by another email saying I'd won the book and DVD that accompany the BBC Africa series.

24 hours later my husband jokingly asked what I had won that day. I laughingly told him nothing but within 10 minutes struck it lucky with a £10 Costa voucher via the Freederm daily play game. Then last but not least I won a £20 voucher which is going on a skin for my Kindle.

One day I'd love to win one of the big prizes, a car, holiday or cash but these are awesome treats that I probably wouldn't have bought myself. It was lovely to take my Mum to the races and get dressed up, something we wouldn't usually have done. I'm definitely a devotee to comping these days!

  • Odeon here we come

I’ve won a few things over the past 3 months whilst been unemployed, however the win which has made me smile the most is the cinema tickets from Odeon from the E-ON comp advertised on you Facebook page. It's little things like this me and my partner wouldn't usually be able to afford and now we can go for a treat and even buy some treats as they have also thrown in a £10 snack voucher! Thanks ThePrizefinder for helping me spend precious moments with my partner.

I haven't won anything for quite some time and I was beginning to think it was time to quit. My first win was in 2010 - I won a £850 condenser dryer followed by oil hampers, DVDs, tickets, vouchers and t shirts then nothing. This morning the postman handed me a small package that I wasn't expecting. When I opened it I saw a bottle of French's smooth and spicy mustard and a note saying congratulations. This little bottle of mustard renewed my faith in comping and I wouldn't have entered the competition if it wasn't for the fantastic Prizefinder. Thank you for finding these fantastic competitions.

Your site was recommended by a friend around 2 months ago and I decided to give it a bash. I'm generally a really unlucky person so I didn't expect to win anything, however within 2 weeks I'd won a hair styling set, followed by £25 to spend on personalized football gifts. Then followed a make up set from a Facebook comp, and a £50 Saks voucher from Nivea..as if that wasn't enough I then won a Rafflecopter comp for a box of Ren skincare goodies and the same night, 2 pairs of silver earrings from another fb comp. And to top it all off I just won a massive sweetie hamper tonight! I also won little things in between like paint testers and expensive hand cream. Counting it up I've won well over £300 worth in the last 2 months. I'm now hooked and really hold out for a shopping spree for clothes. The way my luck's going I'll be there in no time. Thanks so much for your easy to use site. I love logging in every night before bed and seeing what's new. Here's hoping the luck continues!

  • My Spongebob win

I didn't get to enter many comps in April as it was the start to the 2 weeks school holidays, then my daughter was in hospital sick. But to my surprise I still had a lot of wins - my two favourites were a £75 diamante clutch bag and a night at Spongebob's 4D premiere at Birmingham's Sea Life Centre. We went last night and enjoyed the free VIP tour, milkshakes, balloons, flags, photos and free popcorn. The best bit was that I also met up with two other compers that I have became friends with - we had a great laugh with our children!

I comped for a little while during 2012. I then stopped completely until a month ago and have now picked it up as a hobby. I only work part time and I've had a ton of spare time on my hands. I won my first competition this week, a ticket to Etsy's London wedding event! I was so excited when I received the email and I would just like to say a quick thank you to everyone who posts the competitions :)

  • A prize for the kids

I have been comping on and off for a few years and won some great small prizes so far, nothing too big but the prizes that always give me the most satisfaction are the ones you don't even know are coming. And especially prizes for my two boys.
So far I have won a child's bike from innocent smoothies for them, a cuddly toy, some books and the latest was this ninja turtles Lego. I hadn't done any comping in a while, I came on ThePrizeFinder and did a search for Lego competitions and only entered those. I had no idea it was coming and my oldest son was so excited. Now I'm under strict orders to win a lot more! Here he is with the finished model.

  • A fabulous, fun hobby that can reap rewards!

I stumbled across comping back in 2011 and as soon as I won my first prize (a box of chocolates!) I was hooked. Once I returned to work and then found out I was pregnant again, comping took a back seat for a while as life got in the way. Then in January 2013 and feeling the pinch, I decided to pick up where I left off to see if I could win our little family a few treats. As most of my previous wins were from ‘effort’ comps, I decided to focus my energy on these and cut down on the basic ‘enter your details’ competitions (apart from those to win prizes on my wish list!). ThePrizefinder is brilliant and makes it so easy to sort through the thousands of comps out there & whittle it down to those that I really want to enter. In the last few months I’ve been fortunate enough to win trips to Paris, Bristol and Ireland, a year's supply of Gu chocolate puddings, £80 meal vouchers, hair styling goodies, baking goodies and (my Husbands favourite!) a 10Kg wheel of Jarlsberg cheese, plus lots of other little bits and bobs to keep us smiling. Comping is a lovely, fun and free hobby that has afforded us some luxuries that we wouldn’t normally have been able to have. The effort comps can range from the serious to the utterly silly, and I love seeing everyone's entries - some make me laugh, some make me cry, and I’m always amazed at the creativity of people. Good luck everyone, happy comping!

I have been comping since the beginning of December 2012 using this amazing website and I hadn't had anything at all until last month when I received two amazing prizes! First off I received a phone call from Smooth Radio to let me know iI had a won their America holiday to Washington DC with free car hire and $600 to spend in an outlet store - on the trip we will also be visiting Maryland and Virginia! I was told that 10,000 people had applied and I had won! It really does go to show you have to be in it to win it. A week later I found out that I had won tickets to Viva Forever as well so I am beyond over the moon! Thankyou Prizefinder!
