The past 6 years had been tough after the death of my daughter's partner and I my only focus was on her and her and my 2 granddaughters. Then finally last year things seemed to be getting easier for her so she needed me less. However, this was when things became difficult for me as I had too much time on my hands and the weather was awful so I wasn't going out. I decided to look on the internet for "hobbies to do from home". My search came up with competitions and ThePrizefinder. I think it was January 13th I signed up with you and it has been a fantastic six months. I have not only won 42 prizes (to date) but it has given me a boost in myself and something to look forward to each day. I now look forward to the postie coming! My first prize was 4 tickets to see Madagascar live so me, my daughter and the girls went. We had a great day, full of laughter and I was hooked. Now they want me to win a holiday haha (I'm trying hard- honest.)

I can't believe it. After 6 months of not winning anything I won a big one. Just when we needed it as our old telly had packed in.

Not only did I win a 32 inch TV but an Xbox 360, a PS VITA and a gaming chair.

You can see the delight in our faces. It just goes to show - keep entering then it will happen.

June had been a fairly quiet month for me with a couple of small wins, 3 from the Stella beauty giveaway, a golf set and some Jellyegg goodies. Then I discovered the VIMTO Bounce n' Boom game on Facebook, offering some fantastic daily prizes! My son broke his headphones and I entered what felt like HUNDREDS of times for the Dr Dre Beats, and the next day, I got an email from Vimto saying I had won! SOOOO pleased!

I have been comping properly for the past year and had a few wins. However recently I've been going through a lean spell. However within the space of 3 days I suddenly won twice!

Firstly was tickets to a secret gig in London with Appletiser to see Eliza Dolittle live. The night was fantastic with free drinks and fun activities. I was on the front row to see her and I even met her afterwards!

Then I won 4 tickets to see Matilda the musical in London in July. I've wanted to see this show so badly, I can't believe my luck.

I love this hobby, and get such a rush when a win comes through. This is the only hobby you AND your friends & family can benefit from. My boyfriend was skeptical about it at first, but now he supports me all the way now he see's winning can and does happen (besides the fact I normally share him in on the win!).

So who knew that there is such an activity such as Cardio Tennis ? ( Apart from the ones that do actually play Tennis!) I know, me neither until I saw a competition and I entered it was one of those days were I thought I would love to try but would not win. Low and behold I had an email of congrats from Womans Weekly, to say I had won a session of ten! Woop woop

So here I am today on my 2nd session as the weather has not been at it's best and due to work commitments, I am only on my 2nd session. Apart from my hay days in school (decades ago) I have not once held a racquet for love nor money!

Overall I like trying different things and I happen to like this even though my batting skill is way below a novice. I feel it's recommend for all ages and levels as it's just fun and another way to keep fit!

I started on this site at the end of Jan 2013 and said to myself I have nothing to lose, give it a year's trial as I may have more chance with this than the lottery. I am glad I won, glad I found this site as I am in that majority that never wins much or at all.
I had also won tickets to the Gadget Show in March from Familyrapp, that was a cool day out as I have always wanted to go but never had the money! :(
I am still entering the comps I like only and will create an actual wishlist so it just might become a lot more believable that winning can be done.

Last year I decided I wanted to win a caravan, tent or motorhome so I entered every competition I could find using The Prizefinder website. I forgot all about it until I received a phone call a year later telling me I had won a static caravan though a holiday park company worth £15,000 and my first year's fees paid. It has been sited on a lovely site just an hour's drive away and we are looking forward to many weekends away. All I had to do was sign up for a mailing list. I have won a couple of small prizes since and keep my fingers crossed for my next win.

I stumbled upon a golf competition in April last year and deciding I wasn't going to lose anything by entering, I gave it a go and won! Since then I've been hooked. I've used a few websites, but The Prizefinder has the layout I prefer. I've had lean spells where moral drops, so I take a few weeks away before coming back refreshed. There is nothing like the buzz I get when I receive a WEM. This month alone I've won lingerie for my wife, Alton Towers tickets from Krave, a crate of bottled water, £50 Tesco Voucher & Hedge Trimmers. Mostly, the comps I enter are for my wife and kids to give them something I couldn't typically afford. I am dreaming of a family holiday win to give us all a break from the day-to-day routine.

I started comping in mid December 2012, I had been off work ill for a couple of months and wanted to do something that might bring me joy so I started looking for competitions. I soon found ThePrizefinder site which helped me find the odd competition but mainly allowed me to keep track of what I enter.

The first month I was super lucky, I won a handbag from a company that I love and had liked on Facebook, a DVD and a snowdog in a channel 4 competition. Then nothing until March, and now the prizes are rolling in. I've won Piranha Blu-ray, LoS DVD, Elizabeth Arden Eyeliner, Dirty Works face mask, then, my first surprise prize arrived, a Glam Glow set.

I went in to hospital to have surgery, just before I had been informed that I had won a Jean-Paul Gaultier Anniversary edition perfume set, something to look forward to! While in hospital my partner checked my emails for me, four days after my operation he told me I had won some spa vouchers and a skincare set, I think it was the first time I had smiled in hospital. The skincare set & perfume set turned up the day after I was discharged from hospital and some surprise prizes, a St Tropez set and hair products.

I consider myself lucky, I've not won big money but I love everything I've won. I only enter for things I really want, I also have a tight routine I spend no longer than an hour doing it while watching TV.

I'm on the road to recovery now but I do know that when I go back to work I will still enter competitions. Just remember, someone has to win them so why can't it be you?

I started comping through ThePrizefinder about a year ago on and off. From about 6 months ago I started entering competitions more regularly but never won anything until a few weeks ago. I received an e-mail from Schwartz informing me that I had won their monthly Facebook competition. I was over the moon to have won a baking set worth £75, and then out of the blue I had a parcel delivered, I had won a wonder-styler hair straightener by Doll worth £150. I was so happy!!! I now enter comps whenever I get a spare moment through ThePrizefinder as its the easiest way to keep track of what I have entered - so thank you very much Prizefinder, keep it up.

Thanks to theprizefinder.com I recently won a day to see the German Touring Car Championship round at Brands Hatch. This was through the Purple Parking website. The forecast was overcast and drizzly but in the end it was warm and sunny.
The prize included Paddock tickets so we could wander round the pits and watch the teams prepare the cars before the races.
A great day out thanks to theprizefinder and Purple Parking - even though I was a little sunburnt by the end of it!
