When I was announced as a winner on Toby Toymaster fb page last week, it was incredible knowing that I won my little boy's dream prize, Butch the dinosaur. However, when the prize arrived, I almost cried when I discovered other amazing goodies they sent us with the prize. Incredible!

Using My Passion to Win Prizes
Wednesday, February 10, 2016
I am a big fan of technology, gadgets and ideas. So, whenever I see a chance to use my tech ideas to win prizes, I jump at the chance. I regularly search Twitter using the keywords such as 'win idea,' 'innovation competition' and 'win tech'.
In December, I entered an idea for a contest run by Orange (the telecommunications company). They wanted ideas on how to combat climate change. So, I entered an idea that combined an app and a small-scale module called a hydroponic for people to produce their own food (vegetables and fish). The logic being that if people could produce their own food close to their homes less fuel would be spent transporting food and it would be better for the environment.
My idea was one of the top ideas and I won a weather station for my Dad. He now knows what the weather is like outside before he even steps out of bed.

☆ We, The Watched by Adam Bender from Goodreads.
☆ Scarf from Design House of Berry.

Saturday, February 6, 2016
I won £50 worth of UkAnatomicals smellies on Twitter and was very happy to receive a box of goodies very soon after from them, including balms, shower gels, shampoo, body lotion, face masks, sleep eye mask, and so on... I think it was the whole range! Only trouble was, some of the packaging had quite saucy wording on it and had to be censored from my kids- I'll donate those bottles to the local food bank. My daughter brought a friend home that day and I let them split the rest between them- you should have seen their eyes light up! My daughters friend had never heard of anyone winning a competition but my daughter wasn't surprised at all! Anyway they are very nice toiletries with unusual fragrances and I would recommend them, speedy delivery of my prize too!
Covooooonia!!!!!!!!

Covonia ran a comp a while back to create an alternative Covonia ad! I got stuck in as I love all video based competitions. The prize was £1000 and to be the voice of the Covonia ad! And I won!!!! I couldn't believe it. I had to travel to studios in London and put my voice on the ad which aired on TV!!! The money came in very handy too!!!! Covoooonia!
A much needed pram!
Wednesday, February 3, 2016
When we knew we were expecting our first baby we go into a bit of a panic, like most people nowadays, money is a little tight.
I knew we needed to buy quite a lot of things so when I entered a competition to win a pram I never dreamt I would win!
But I was sooooo thrilled when we did! It saved us a lot of money and I can hand it down to a friend or family member when we have finished with it, saving them money too! Thank you Prize Finder!! xJanuary Wins

This year, as part of my new year's resolution, I have decided to make a spreadsheet of my wins to track exactly what I've won and where from. I've had a few small wins this January to keep me running until the next biggie - so far this Jan, I've won a Transporter refuelled on blu-ray, a calendar, dog biscuits, a calendar, a cupcake, a cheese goodie bag and a pair of Hotter trainers. Keeping the spreadsheet has let me see that on average, I win a prize every 4 to 5 days, which I think is quite good going.
Can't wait to find out what I'm going to win next!Birthday Smiles
Saturday, January 30, 2016
I normally expect January to be a prize disappointment. Luckily not so this year . I have won ten prizes totalling more than £400. This includes restaurant vouchers, books, baby products and two prizes for my sons birthday. I won a personalised BakersDay cake on Twitter which my son loved and a surprise bundle of Star Wars Hot Wheels (worth over £100) arrived on his birthday. Here's hoping for a lucky February for us all.
