I haven’t been comping that long really so tend to find that my wins are few and far between it. When I focus and have a plan, I tend to win more. Recently due to some life changing news, I’ve had a bit more time to enter competitions so I’ve been focusing on things that I want to win. Last Friday, I was walking back from the solicitors have just made my Will- Suddenly a seagull came out of nowhere and showered me in poo! I was so angry! I was luckily close to home so when I cleaned myself up, I checked my Facebook notifications and had won a bottle of Rose prosecco!

Having moved house towards the end of last year, I had to take a bit of a break from comping but now we're all moved in and I'm back! So far this month I've won some sample skincare from Veil Cover Cream which is great for me as I always love to test new skincare products (so far so good!) and also a Neutradol product to test, which was a win on Facebook. Always good when you've just moved house to try out some new cleaning products :-) Fingers crossed for more luck in March- you never know what will come through the post :)

  • FIRST DAY ON THE SITE AND WON £1000 IN VOUCHERS!

I signed up to the site a few years ago and won a few small prizes, (suitcases, games etc)

Last week I was reminiscing on the fun I had entering the competitions and the excitement I felt when I won a prize. I therefore logged back into the website and started my usual tactic of entering all competitions which close within the next week.

24 hours later I received a message from Superdrug informing me I had won £1000 to spend in their store! I will thrilled!

It’s safe to say I’m here for good now!

    Thanks prize finder!

  • Gorgeous Bedding Set

A few weeks ago I received this prize from a competition I entered on the Good Housekeeping magazine website! Its a beautiful sequin king size bedding set and as a bonus it came with a gorgeous cushion. The competition ran over several magazines and you could enter once per day on each website so it was easy to build up a large amount of competition entries and increase your chances. Absolutely love my prize! I definitely recommend people to enter competitions on magazine sites where you can enter every day. Absolutely love my prize! 😊

There is something very special about winning any competition that the kids can enjoy. Having won some Virgin Experience day vouchers, my neice and I took the kids on a trip to London. We went to the Rain Forest Cafe, then on a boat trip down the Thames, took in the Natural History Museum. The next day we visited London Zoo and had dinner in Bella Italia. Only thing we paid for was the train fare and the Travelodge family room which we booked well in advance. We also booked mid week to get the best rate.
Another recent win was a hot tub from the Subway competitions last summer and a £100 buyagift voucher from Gransnet. Planning on using that on an afternoon tea at Rubens in London in the spring. Don't give up comping you never know what might just be around the corner.

  • Out of the blue win

I can't honestly tell you how I won these two Foodie carts, they turned up in a parcel before Christmas (I'd entered so many comps). There had been no congratulations email and no note enclosed, so I put them at the back of the present cupboard and there they remained until a very wet and windy Sunday in February. When my granddaughter was moaning she was bored I got them out, she loved them and we jointly discovered how they worked. The photo shows the results of her sweet mould making and patience. 👍

With half an hour to go before the end of an instagram competition I decided to 'like, follow and tag a friend'. I had to name someone that I loved and someone who you would give the prize to! Since the competition was being run by an interiors shop just down the road from my best friend of 35 years plus, my bezzie was the obivious person to mention. A couple of hours later I was contacted by the prizegiver - Peppermill Interiors in Burntwood, Staffordshire to say that my nominated friend had won! The prize was a beautiful bottle of champagne and two champagne flutes all in a speical gift box. My friend was delighted and went in to collect it a couple of days later. She met the staff too who were lovely.

  • A Small Win

Just a small win this month but very happy with it. I love Mary Berry’s books and I was thrilled to win this one in a Facebook competition a couple of weeks ago. I have already tried out 2 of the recipes and am planning on trying out a few more in the next few weeks. Sometimes the little prizes are just as exciting as the big ones. I was lucky enough to win one prize in the advents this year. Some very handy storage trays and under sink unit from Addis I haven’t done too many competitions so far this year so need to get stuck in once again.

  • Valentines flowers

Hubby and I decided to go out for a meal instead of buying Valentines gifts this year so I was delighted to win these flowers from Blossoming Gifts on Instagram. My name was picked from about 500 comments so I was really pleased, and I could even choose which day I wanted them delivered.
To enter, you had to do the normal things- tag a pal and like the page and like the post. There was a lovely description of the bouquet, which included 2 of the flowers I had in my wedding bouquet, so I left a comment to tell them that hypericum and red roses were so special to me and why.
To my delight they picked me so I'll try and leave a relevant comment more often. Might have been random though, who knows? They are lovely and I'm so pleased.

  • Books win

After winning knitting wool last month, I continued the theme this month with a Harry Potter knitting magic book. This is full of patterns - some easy & some harder. Really fun to get loads of new crafty ideas.
Also received a copy of The Lost lIghts of St Kilda - love getting books as prizes in this stormy weather, as ideal to curl up with by the fire.
Comping wins make you try different ideas and products than you would usually choose , so expanding your knowledge and getting new ideas for things.
Looking forward to the visit from the postie, you just never know what is going to arrive. I tend to enter and forget so its always a nice surprise when prizes turn up.
Such a variety of comps here on Prizefinder, so something for everyone.
