I came home after a bad day at work today to find a letter had been signed for by my flatmate and inside were 2 tickets for the Mfest in Leeds. That put a smile on my face and combined with my £500 bar tab at the Zoobar I won on Monday I'm a happy boy.
Gonna keep entering cos it's nice to come home to pleasant suprises!

I recently received an email from a lovely lady at yourhair.com. Every year they test hair products and publish the winners in every category. The competition was to win all of the winners and I did!

After I had sent a reply to the mail I called the number and spoke to her. She arranged next day delivery by courier to my home. Four large boxes arrived which took me over 2 and a half hours to unpack! I received fabulous hairdryers, straighteners (the GHD ones were the reason that I had entered), wigs, hair pieces, brushes and more shampoo, conditioners and styling products than you could imagine.
I have had enormous fun sharing the goodies with my family and friends, which for me is one of the best things about comping.

I have just come back from an amazing trip to Paris which I won last year from Virgin Media website which included flights from our local airport, transfers, one years insurance, two nights in a wonderful hotel including all you can eat breakfast and to top it off £250 spending money. We chose to go last weekend for our 24th wedding anniversary and managed to fit so much in to our weekend. We saw all the sights, cruised down the Seine and on the Saturday night we had the best meal out I have ever had - it was even better than Claridges which i was lucky enough to win a meal at a couple of years ago. The organisers were really good and thought of everything to make sure we had a brilliant trip, and we did, it was fantastic.

Well here we are half way through the year and I have been extremely lucky so far. Every year I have a wishlist of prizes I would like to win. I don't take this too seriously however, if I do spot a comp on ThePrizefinder with the particular prize up for grabs I do try a little harder! Two things on my wish list this year were an all expenses paid family holiday and a new oven.... and guess what .. I have won both already! My family are off to Tenerife in August. Flights, transfers and all inclusive for one week. If that wasn't enough I won £500 last week to buy the odd souvenir whilst there! My shiny new double oven is on its way so who knows - I may soon be entering some cookery competitions too - ok maybe not! This year is proving especially good, with my total prize fund so far standing at £8,500 - hey not bad this comping malarkey!!

To say I love comping would be an understatement...I have had so many different types of wins and it never costs me a thing. This week alone i have had a huge hamper from Mornflake, all for entering a photo competition. Then I had an email from Woman and Home and I have won a jubilee cake and tea set and my third win this week was £100 Nisa shopping vouchers....Won't be giving this hobby up ...ever!

In January I had sorted out my holiday early for May, so started looking for competitions for luggage.

One caught my eye on Facebook in April, where they had 3 prizes on offer. 1 was a carry-on case, 2nd prize was a rucksack and 3rd was a purse. I liked the look of the carry on case so I entered and shared and thought nothing of it.

A week later, I got a private message to say out of over 700 entries, I was the 1st prize winner. Imagine my joy when I was told I could pick a carry on case of my choice, worth £120!

I decided to choose one that looked like a speaker as my boyfriend is a dj and it would suit us both if we used it.

At the end of May I took my holiday and made sure to get a picture of myself with the case at the airport. I had so many compliments from people saying they loved the design.
Once I got home, I shared my picture with the company page and thanked them. As a thanks for showing them my win, I got a 15% discount code!

The last 3 months have been fantastic for wins again. I've won well over £1000 in prizes including cosmetics, vouchers, clothes, toys and tickets. I've won 10 DVDs, a mobile phone and gadgets. My wins vary sometimes to every day or even 7 on one day and sometimes I can go a week with nothing. The more time I have to enter the more I win! I won a night away in Southwold, Suffolk with Adnams brewery. Fortunately we chose a lovely weekend and the sun shone relentlessly. Many residents of these beach huts, valued at around £40,000, made full use of them! We went on a brewery tour and I am now much more knowledgeable re oak aged casks and drinking beer!

Yay! I've only been comping for a few weeks and have my first Facebook win, discovered via this site.

I've won what is called an Onion Dog Light. It's a light shaped like...yup...you guessed it...a dog! (not an onion...lol)

My hubby has made it quite clear that its going in my office/work room only...lol
