  • Samsung Galaxy S4

I have been comping for about 2 years now and I am quite often successful in little wins. I was totally over the moon to receive a wem and phone call informing me that I had won a Samsung Galaxy S4, this is the biggest prize I have ever won. I am currently planning my wedding and very short on money so haven't been able to afford nice luxuries like this for quite a while. It will be treasured and every time I use it I shall be very grateful to the companies that run these wonderful free to enter competitions and is proof to me, friends and other compers out there that these competitions are real!

I'm one very happy comper just now!

  • On a roll?

I've been comping for about 6 months now, my first win was a pretty big one! Out of the blue a huge box came in the post, in it was a Slazenger tennis bundle! 2 Rackets, 2 sets of balls, a hold all and a backpack. It is worth over £300 in total!

That was 3 or 4 months ago now and since then my luck hasn't been in at all since..until this month! Nothing huge this time but a few good wins this month! First of all I managed to win a free nights stay at a Novotel Hotel of my choice in their Spin to Win instant. Then just a few days ago I got a Direct Message on Twitter from Dairylea to say I'd been one of their lucky winners for a prize of a £30 voucher for GAME! Hopefully I'm on a roll now and more wins will come my way!

I've won a steady stream of nice prizes this month, including a few months worth of tea and the rainforest alliance frog from Tetley! Strangely I've won prizes that include two mugs as well!.
My latest prizes have all been won by putting some form of effort into an entry and/or on social networks, so instagram pics, vines on twitter, pinterest etc.
A twitter competition from EE won me the Jamie Oliver book pictured, signed..although the mug and apron are pretty horrid!!
My highest value and most lovely prize this month is an iPad bag from Knomo, won from a simple repin. A prize I can't photograph is the £50 cash I won from Money supermarket on twitter, again for a creative photo challenge competition. I also won one of the top prizes for the National Lotterys monopolyinstants photo competition in September, which was AMAZING! I can't wait for that cheque to arrive!!

Put the effort in (as I know many of us on here do, because you see familiar names...Di...Kurt Geiger instagram comp ;)), but only enter comps you genuinely want to win the prizes from (or have a genuine need for the prize) I say. You won't win them all but you'll definitely see some prizes come your way.

  • All About My First Prize, in Poetry I've Devised!

    Started entering in June;
No prizes got to me soon.
After four whole months of nowt,
    My zeal was running out.
Till today I took a break,
    Checked emails over cake;
One said they’d loved my photo,
    And I don’t mean to gloat-o,
Just to share my winning strike,
For I’ve won a folding bike!

OK so the poetry may be rubbish but the prize won't be! I entered every 'closing soon' competition that was of interest to me in the last four months and after hearing nothing in that time I was beginning to wonder what was wrong with me. However, today's winning email will hopefully be the beginning of a change in luck for me. As this was a 'holiday photo' type competition, which I really did not spend a long time over choosing my entry, I think I'll go over all my photos a bit more carefully now to see which ones could be winners. Then, possible photos in different categories can be kept in a new folder and will be fresh in my mind when I read what competitions are looking for. I love ThePrizefinder and don't go anywhere else for competitions. Thank you!

It's only the beginning of October and already I've won a kitkat and Vera Wang perfume which is going to be a great Christmas present.

  • Two months and two prizes!

I started comping in August this year and so far I have won two prizes.

The first in August was a brand new Nokia Lumia 520 with £390 of Vodafone top up vouchers from Vodafone Facebook.

More recently this month is a green Whirlpool Max microwave as seen on the Gadget Man show worth £180 from Woman & Home.

I feel really lucky and hope the luck continues.

    Happy comping everyone!

  • I love my hobby!

In August, I played a game on the Chupa Chups website but there was a glitch which meant you couldn't enter your details after you had won a prize. Various prizes were up for grabs, like lolly wheels, t-shirts and iPhone cases. My prize was the top prize of an iPad mini, but I didn't get my hopes up that I had actually won it, as the game had glitched, and there was a chance they could refuse me or offer me a lesser prize.

I messaged them on Facebook, having taken a screenshot of my winning message. I got a reply asking to send them my address and they would see what they could do. After what seemed to be the longest week of my comping life, i got a confirmation that they would be honouring my prize and the iPad mini would be shipped out within 4 weeks! Again, I still didn't get my hopes up that I had won it until I had it in my hands.

After 4 long weeks, and after my annual holiday, I came back to a parcel. It was my iPad mini! I had wanted an iPad ever since they came out but could never afford one.

Since I have won, I haven't had many wins since, but I'm not complaining, my iPad is the best win I've ever had. I love comping!

  • Good luck comes in three's

Have you heard the saying, bad luck comes in three's?...well that's just not true. I tend to find my prizes come in three's!
I noticed the pattern just recently after typing up my full prize list, I won three lots of tea competitions, three boxes of crisps, three lots of event tickets, three sets of Liora jewellery, three health food hampers, three Palmers competitions, three lots of Vosene shampoo sets, three cuddly toy chickens....and a partridge in a pear tree....er nooo, I didn't win that, however the list goes on, but you get the idea.
I would easily say my lucky number is 3, oh and did I mention, I won £40 on bingo last week, guess what my winning bingo number was?....yes!, it was 3!

  • Grinning like a Cheshire cat

So the day has finally come I have won my first prize, I am sooooo happy, only found out last night when I was going down the page on Facebook and came across a post from Angling Times saying the winner has been announced so I clicked on it and I saw my name. I was so excited that I was grinning like a Cheshire cat. I have won a 4-piece compact 11 foot float rod worth £100 which fits in very nicely with my other hobby fishing. Happy comping everyone and good luck. Would like to thank ThePrizeFinder team for this brilliant site. I am addicted to comping looking forward for more prizes now.

  • Fuel for thought

In the past two weeks I have been lucky enough to win two lovely prizes with fuel at the heart of them. The first was the Mars £100 worth of petrol on a card, and the second was the Weetabix Morrisons fuel promotion with a prize of a family bowling session and meal. Any win is exciting, but petrol is a biggie for me as I need my car for work, but I have to say that the Weetabix one excited me even more as it is something I can pass to my daughter and family who live 400 miles away in Newcastle upon Tyne. I don't see them as often as I would like, but keep trying to win train tickets. My Granddaughter is six and has never been bowling before, so the thought of her having fun with something I have sent up is by far the most wonderful prize for me!
