Meet Our Latest Winners!

The first and second of January came and went and I didn't win despite having entered loads of competitions on Theprizefinder.com and Facebook and Twitter.

I was checking my emails constantly (a terrible addiction) and there were no WEMs. So I had a look at the junk inbox and there was a CONGRATULATIONS so I got all excited and opened it to find it was one of those where it says you MAY be a winner if you enter these competitions! Disappointed.com lol

Then I saw another one but didn't get my hopes up because of the last one.

I have to say that even when I read it, I wasn't convinced it was a real email so I went to check out the blog address (which I entered through Theprizefinder.com) and YAY its real!! It's my first rafflecopter win so I am dead excited about that and now know that it is worth doing despite all the hard work some of them are.

And what a win it is! It's worth around £100 when I add it up! Its a group of bloggers who have all put in a prize each so there are some really lovely prizes in there.

So thank you Theprizefinder.com and thank you Jades blog too for my wonderful first (and only so far) win of 2014.

I only seem to win the smaller prizes but on receiving a personalised Wilkinson Sword razor which I entered to make my partner smile, I was so happy! With the words printed across it all big and bold 'ILOVEYOU' I think it must be the most special and best prize so far! Thanks for the help PrizeFinder!

I didn't have much time to enter many competitions in the last couple of months due to the mad rush for Christmas and working.

I started comping again over Christmas with my time off and the kids having plenty to keep them busy and to my delight I received an email from Heart Radio on 2nd January to inform me that I had won a £250 Toys r Us voucher!!

The voucher came through the post this morning and in fact it was a £250 All 4 One Voucher not just for Toys R us, so I can treat everyone in the house and not just the kids, as we can spend it in loads of shops :-)

Finally I can say I'm a lucky winner. On Monday I was contacted via Facebook from Asda. I entered a competition before Christmas for making a comment on one of their pictures about what kind of party food I enjoy to be in with a chance to win a £250 gift card. Didn't think I would be picked out of over 5000 people. On receiving contact from Asda I informed friends, who thought I was probably scammed from Facebook adverts which do happen. Today it came through the post and here's a picture to prove to all the doubters that there are legit competitions out there. I'm so happy :)

I started entering competitions at the beginning of the year with one main goal - to win Christmas. Did I do it? Oh yes, with quite a few lovely extras on the way. My three young children all had a hudl each from me selling an iPad I won in July. My daughter had a huge beauty hamper worth over £300 made from all the goodies I'd won, and my son had top of range headphones and his Joe Hart signed t shirt, along with games, toys etc.
We have been to several shows at the NEC, watch a fabulous 47in 3D TV, we still have vouchers for a romantic weekend away, when we have the time, but the win to top them all was on Christmas Eve. I had won nothing from the advents, but found out I'd won a family holiday for 2014 in the south of France.
What a year! Hope the luck continues and let this year's goal begin again. x

I've been a comper now for nigh on 30 years and I've won all sorts of weird and wonderful stuff over the years. I started out doing radio competitions as as I lived in Germany - my hubby was in the army and I spotted a comp for a car a month to be won for 6 months. Yes, my first big win was in 1989, a Vauxhall Cavalier care of the forces newspaper & Embassy cigarettes. We then came back to the UK and I found entry forms everywhere in the supermarkets...yes the good old days of entry forms, and tins without labels, my kids could spot a comp a mile off!

I did have a long break in 2002-2004 as I tragically lost my 19 year old son in an RTA. But through friends I found Facebook (I'd always been a member of the ThePrizeFinder for years before) and I started comping again. I've won everything from a year's supply of condoms to holidays thanks to ThePrizeFinder. My most recent win was a P&O Baltic cruise with the Daily Mail and oh what a fantastic time we had. I love comping mostly because I can treat my family to amazing things I'd never be able to afford. I've had a fabulous few years of wins now totalling thousands of pounds and I'm loving it!

I am still hoping for a holiday this year so that I can use it as my honeymoon but doing competitions is fun anyway and even a small win gives you the rush! My advice to other people who haven't won anything yet would be don't give up - my third ever win was the biggest I've had!

I started comping in October 2013. I thought I would give it a go as I had recently dropped a day at work, but didn't really think that anyone really won online competitions. How wrong I was! My first win was £150 worth of Waitrose vouchers from mums.net and I thought, oh that's it, I will probably never win anything again. I persevered entering around 40-70 comps a day with the help of your site. My next win was a cookery book, then a £10 TK Maxx voucher and then the best so far - a gift card for notonthehighstreet.com (Stylist magazine) for £500! That was really useful for Christmas. My latest win was a £50 Spartoo voucher (advent comp). So in around 3 months I have won over £700 in prizes. This is truly the best hobby ever and thank you so much for your brilliant site!

A couple of months ago I noticed a blog that was put up by Di coke saying how she had won lots of high street gift cards in a game with Ben Shepard on Barclaycard's online programme. So straight away I contacted Barclaycard to see if I could be in the running to play this game in the future. I received a response saying unfortunately the competition had now closed but they appreciated my letter saying how I liked the fun but simple idea of the game, they would like to keep me in consideration for future games. Then a few weeks later, out of the blue a letter came from Barclaycard, I initially thought probably junk mail to get me to sign up with them.
But to my surprise the was a lovely letter from Barclaycard and £30 in Love2shop vouchers. Just what I needed to get my daughter some extra Christmas treats. So my top tip to any one is make an extra special effort when entering competitions or applying to companies, well thought out letters can receive lovely rewards.
