  • Books! Yippee!

I have recently got into entering competitions on goodreads.com, after being a member there for years. I now add it to my daily routine of comping, and so far I have won 3 books.
I am an avid reader so while it may not be a car or a holiday, I love a bookie win, and the best of the 3 was a signed copy. It's a little geeky, but I love my prize!

  • The Best Month

Well I thought January was good for wins but February has topped that. Baring in mind I only started coming in January! This month I have won a trunki suitcase, a hamper of chocolates, a Carmex lip balm, 1 month taste card, a box of shreddies, two tickets to meet Loose Women and be in the audience and a Loose Women goody bag for me and a friend. Can't wait to see what next month has in store!

  • My Spicy Win

This month has been slow for me yet again, with entering every competition and no wins until I was ecstatic to win a gorgeous clutch bag last week and then today I came home to a surprise box containing an Indian cookery kit.

There's a cook book, recipe cards and 5 jars of chutney to try. This was courtesy of Spice Tailor through The Lady. I've entered a lot of their competitions over the past year so am very happy with this one and can't wait to try some of the recipes.

I'm hoping for some bigger wins in March and would love to win a short break to take over the Easter holidays. Even the news readers seem to be agreeing with me at the moment that holidays are so expensive outside of term time! Fingers crossed :) x

  • Most Amazing Night

I have recently been unable to work due to serious illness and having chemo, so it gets a bit boring being at home. I used to do a bit of comping when I was younger, although never had any luck. A few weeks ago I stumbled across ThePrizeFinder and started entering, the winners stories kept me going, although I didn't think I would win! I first won a gym membership, although couldn't use this (it was a runners up prize) then I won coloured pencils, a car battery tester, and then a wonderful prize of fresh flowers delivered every two weeks to my door for 3 months! But my most amazing prize was two tickets to a special screening of 300 Rise of an Empire, which I attended last night! Oh what an amazing night! I felt like a star! Thank you so much ThePrizeFinder!

Well 2014 has got off to a slow start, but still February did bring a prize. It was a Hero of the city bundle including book, DVD and 2 cars. • My First Win!

I came back to comping after six years off as I got a bit disheartened. I started again exactly a month ago and yesterday I had an email saying I'd won a Wii U with a Mario Winter Olympics game worth over £250! I was in hospital recovering from an operation when I received this exciting news, and the prize was waiting for me when I got home today! Really cheered me up - I shall enjoy playing it whilst I recuperate!

I won 12 tubs of Ben and Jerry's on the lovely Nisa Facebook advent! As it was ice cream, they couldn't post it so I had to pick it up in store. but it's a fab sweet treat and my son is super happy to have so much ice cream! I only wish it was a bit warmer to enjoy it more! :) X

  • Chilling Out!

I've been comping on and off for over 20 years but only recently started taking it seriously again. I subscribe to Compers News and have been using ThePrizefinder for many years. However, I almost gave up last year as I wasn't winning then suddenly, towards Christmas, it all went mad! I won 2 comps from the same website on the same day (a lovely hamper of smellies and a beautiful bracelet). Then I won the first day on the 'spot it' competition (£200 Virgin experience voucher). Then finally a fabulous break in London with champagne tea! I also won lots of little prizes (books, cleaning items, party goodies). Hopefully it will continue as I have just received a lovely Valentines goody bag from a Twitter comp with Poundland. Here is a photo of my and my hubby in the ice bar in London on our prize trip!

  • First win of the year

I have returned to comping after a good few years away and I stumbled across this fantastic site. After reading some amazing wins posted up by people I thought I would try my luck again. I only enter about 100-150 a week so I do not expect the success that some compers have but a few little wins would be very welcome.

Last Saturday I received a jiffy bag from L'Oreal containing mascara, keyring, magnet and an iPhone case. This really cheered me up as I was feeling a little disheartened at having been entering since December and having not won anything. However, I am determined to carry on now and may even try some Twitter ones. Good luck everyone.
