  • A Win to celebrate

I have been doing competitions with ThePrizefinder for about 6 years and just love it as a hobby with benefits.

This year I had been a bit disheartened with almost no wins but this month, May 2014, I had a lovely surprise when I had an email to tell me that I won £500 worth of wines with Rude Wines in a Red Magazine competition. A little correspondence to let Rude Wines know the sort of wines that I like and the wines arrived a few days later - 14 bottles each of red, white and rose wine plus 3 bottles of Champagne and a bottle of Prosecco. The wines are definitely going to be really useful as gifts for family and friends and for a couple of big celebrations coming up next year - my 60th birthday and 40th wedding anniversary.

A week later a cheque for £50 from XtraCapital Radio arrived.

I hope that this is the start of a winning streak but if not these two wins will keep me happy for quite a while! Cheers!!

  • Hey I Got my New Shoes on!!

I won a prize, via ThePrizeFinder from Emerald Street. £1000 worth of vouchers. £250 of which were for Vince Camuto shoes!! Girls always need shoes, so with huge excitement, I order 3 pairs. One wedge, one heel and one flat.

Two pairs have already been on their first holiday with me! I love them. I stumbled upon comping purely by chance.

I was at work one day, and had a meeting with an officer I knew by name, but didn't know well. He mentioned he had won an iPhone. Intrigued, I asked him how. He went on to tell me all about his wins, and how he found the comps. He gave me the name of the ThePrizefinder.com. I went home that night, loaded up my laptop and registered on the site.

I entered a few comps that first week, and almost immediately won a £100 New Look voucher. Well that was it, I was hooked. These days I comp every day that I have time to, and I love it. I even make sure there is wifi when I go away so that I can check if I have been notified of any wins!!!

I can only say thank you Prizefinder. You changed my life.

Busy and fairly disillusioned, I had given up comping for about 2 years. I decided to start again and immediately logged in to my old friend Theprizefinder. I entered approx 500-1000 comps a week. After the second week I had a mail to say my £1500 guess for £1523 worth of clothes had been the closest and I was a winner :) Happy days, I'm back addicted to comping again now :)

A dream of mine was always to win one of the fab competitions on Shortlist.com! Then one day that dream came true! I had an email from shortlist to say to ring them so I did! I had no idea what I'd won, and then the man on the phone said 3 nights in a 5 star hotel in Cape Town South Africa!! My jaw dropped. It included spending money too and I had to fly out the following week. I took a comping friend of mine and we loved every bit of it! An amazing place and we even got to walk around the movie studios where they are filming Black Sails! We'll never forget such an amazing win and amazing place!

I posted earlier this month about winning a luxury hotel stay in London. I was over the moon. However I received an email today saying I have won a trip for 2 to Melbourne. This includes flight tickets in business class on a new Dreamliner plane including transfers as well as top luxurious accommodation in 3 different hotels. A tour around Melbourne and a trip to see penguins. I cannot believe how lucky I have been.... excited!!!

  • My biggest win yet and happy 1 year of comping to me...

I seem to have a "big win" every month and I'm always talking about them when submitting my winners stories for the month. Last month, my big win was my daughter's new bed and this month I won a £1200 Samsung Eco Bubble washing machine. It's out of this world, it's so high tech and absolutely incredible. I won this for submitting a silly dance that me and my daughter did called "Dance of the cycle" to AO.com. It's by far my biggest win yet and has come just over 11 months after I started comping. Nearly a year of comping.. happy anniversary to me :P

I've won a total of 48 prizes in May which aside from the washing machine included a Rimmel make up package, a BizzyBee cleaning bundle, a 2 night break on the south downs, a £50 Amazon voucher, a Morphy Richards kettle, London Retro prescription glasses, circus tickets, beer, icing etc..

I'm very grateful for my continued luck and my moto is "the harder you work, the more you win" so get going guys and good luck to all for June - Here's a pic of my incredible washing machine:) xx

  • My first Twitter win

    Friday, May 30, 2014

I recently read your article on social media and was particularly interested in the advice about using Twitter.
A few days ago I entered a competition with FashionWorld where you had to post photos of "then and now". I uploaded a recent photo and one of me aged 3 dressed up as a knitting bag! (photo attached)
Only an hour ago I heard that I had won £150 voucher. I had a few problems working out how to direct message on Twitter but have finally managed it! It seems much easier on facebook.
I don't think I would have attempted to enter this comp if I had not read you helpful advice! So thank you very much!

I have also just won a case of cereal on the Dorset cereal game site.

    An excellent day!

  • Baby Mad May

This month I've won loads of baby gear! Including a £100 gift box from Peekaboo Baby, a nappies bundle from CuddleDry and an NUK Disney baby soother.

I've also won a limited edition book, a T-shirt, lip gloss and a Father's Day bundle from Hotel Chocolat.

It's been such a great month for smaller wins and the £100 gift box really topped it off. Everything I've won this month has been a wonderful surprise. Good luck for June everyone. x

  • A colourful May

    Thursday, May 29, 2014

This month has been great, the two main things I've won have been based around colour! I won the Barbour Pantone photo competition, choosing the mans Barbour jacket and T-shirt from the Pantone collection. The second win was a bright red Gorenje washing machine for a photo of a colourful character in my life, I submitted my then baby bumps knitted elephant toy. Smaller wins include Sophie the giraffe teether and a jelly belly machine! Baby bump is now baby and entering competitions is a distant memory as my time and priorities have totally changed. I'll look out for and enter the odd few competitions for things we need or would like for our little family. :)
I'll have little time for effort comps, but my wish list continues to be a holiday, anything for our next home and vouchers/gift cards to help along with everyday life.
