Just back from a fabulous 4 day trip to France courtesy of Michelin & Top Gear.

Was flown out to Clermont Ferrand, south of Paris, put up in a 4 star hotel overnight. Next day we were taken to the Michelin factory for a private tour, including being shown how tyres are made. Then lunch at the towns rugby club, very nice. The afternoon was spent being driven round the Michelin race track at their HQ, 160+ mph, plus drifting and aquaplaning sessions.

To round the day off we were taken to a Michelin star restuarant, for 8 courses of fabulous food, plus a chance to meet the Michelin head... then back to the hotel.

Next day,a private tour of the Michelin museum of transport, then the rest of the day to ourselves. Another night in the posh hotel, then limo to the airport and home...

Thanks Michelin & top Gear - and thanks Prize Finder!

  • (Very) Good Things Come to Those Who Wait

I was going through a rather lengthy dry spell following quite a good December and January. Goody bags, DVDs, bar tabs and even £250 were some of the things I won over Christmas and New Year. However, from mid-February until late March I went without winning a thing. Then I got a call from the Metro telling me I had won a prize. The prize turned out to be a year's funding at the Open University worth up to £5280 AND an iPad. I have now enrolled to start an English MA in October. The T&Cs also stated the iPad would be an 8GB iPad up to £330 which should have been the iPad 4 but when it arrived it turned out to be the more expensive 16GB iPad Air. An added bonus. I thought it would be years before I could afford to take my Masters degree after graduating last year but now it seems I will only have to pay around £1500 for it, whereas before it would have been upwards of £8000 for the full course. Probably my best and most useful win to date.

  • My First Win After A 2 Year Break From Comping!

    Friday, May 2, 2014

    Hi Everybody,

After a 2 year break from comping I recently decided to give it another go and after a week of entering have won my 1st prize!
A VIP trip for myself and 4 friends to see Grease at a drive in movie theatre in a classic American car!
Things are pretty tight money wise at the moment which was my main reason for comping again (in the hope of a big ITV win) but little bonuses like this make it worth while!
So roll on 9th August, cant wait!
Good luck to everybody else and here's to more wins!

    Matt

I had a terrible Feb and March and April has come into its own!! I've won some of my most loved things - largely as I don't enter anything and everything for the sake of it, but it's been lovely to get lucky again.
Effort competitions have been both fruitful and wasteful for me, but through photos all via twitter (strangely for me)6 I've won £100 of my fave cosmetics from Neals Yard, £20 from jackpotjoy and the best was being drawn at random to win a Silentnight matress with febreze. Smaller things included a book, some ovenpride and a nursing bra (great for my impending maternity leave!)

Long May it last, but I'm really happy with a few lovely wins.

I thought winning a fridge freezer last month meant I'd had more than my fair share of luck for the year. While I didn't win another appliance, I have had a lovely steady April. I've won a beautiful bracelet (from Willow bracelets) who I've ordered more stock from so it works both ways and proves that competitions work for the companies running them too rather than just the people winning them.
On my wish list was winning a hamper. I've never received one and always admired those little wicker baskets but this month it all changed. I've won a gorgeous hamper full of pestos and a recipe book, all for sending a recipe to Facebook. I was thrilled as it will be used by all the family. Then I won ANOTHER hamper full of olives and oils to add to my collection. Then today I've just received a message to say I've won ANOTHER hamper this time full of mash products. I'm so very happy and grateful. You could say I'm a very happy hamper!

Yesterday I submitted my win about a chocolate hamper that I won, although delicious it was a small win in what was turning out to be a quiet month.
I sat down to plod on with the lots and lots of competitions on Prizefinders end of months when I received the first notification of a win. I had won a £100 from Hotels 4U. Fantastic I thought, I then plodded on. I then received a phone call to inform me I had won a £50 to voucher. Could this get any better? I then received an email I had won a deluxe hamper from Selfridges worth over £300 with Emerald Street. I then ended the day with an instant win with Echo Falls! Turns out April turned into a great month for me. Thanks Prizefinder.

  • New York New York!

I haven't won much this month but was away for a few days on an amazing win that I had in March. I won a trip to New York! We had flights, hotel, spending money and Miley Cyrus tickets!
When I read the winning email I was shaking!!! I told all my Facebook friends before I told my husband as I couldn't speak!!!
My husband had always wanted to go and we really wanted to go last year for his 30th birthday but it just didn't happen.
We absolutely loved it, every single second.
Our hotel was a stunning Art Deco style boutique hotel with a massive bed in our room!
We were opposite a church and a TGI Fridays! The TGI was handy for cocktails.
We saw all the sights, Times Square, Grand Central Station, Macys, Empire State Buildin!, Central Park...I want to go back!!
And Miley can sing! Who knew?!
