  • New year, New Boots :-)

I love this site for competitions and have won some amazing prizes, from a holiday first class to Australia, a year's supply of sunshimmer , Disney on Ice tickets 3 years out of 4 , and now 2015 has only just started and I got a message yesterday saying I had won £25 from Solewish advent competition. As I already buy from them, because I find their shoes sooo comfy and affordable , I spent this morning choosing my new boots. I can`t wait till they arrive . So to anyone feeling down about comping keep going, keep checking ThePrizeFinder because the rewards are worth it .

  • So much for Advent comps

I passed on the advent competitions this year as they seemed to waste too much time for little potential return. Initially I thought it was perhaps a mistake however the fruits are now rolling in.
I have managed to win the following since December -
    1 x 7" Tablet £150
    1 X day out £60
    1 x Lamp made out of parts of a F1 car £300
    2 x £100 virgin experience vouchers £200
    1 x £50 Amazon voucher £50
    1 x Dieting supplements £300.
    1 x Christmas Ball £700
    1 x DVD £10
I had taken a break from comping over the last year after an amazing run and now I'm back with a vengeance and hoping to hit £100k in the next 2 years (£82000 in the last 6), fingers crossed. Not bad for a hobby. Most is either given away to family and friends or goes to charity auctions so lots of people benefit, The buzz of the email or call is what its all about for me.
Stick at it folks and a prosperous new year to all.

  • Rags to Riches!

What other hobby could bring you such diverse prizes and how lucky am I to be part of the comping world!
This year, amongst the other very welcome small wins, such as vouchers, food items and toys, I have been lucky enough to win 2 weekend breaks. Although we honestly enjoyed both weekend equally they could not have been more different.
Our first trip was a Glamping style converted showman's caravan in North Yorkshire. The caravan inside was beautiful with a glowing log fire, but the outside shower and toilet took a little, erm, shall we say getting used to.
Our second break we took recently was in Wales, a good 5 hours journey away from our home. But what an opportunity ,one to tick off my bucket list and one I would never have been able to experience without entering competitions. We enjoyed a 2 night break at a 5 star Michelein rated restaurant to include an 11 course evening meal. Wow, just amazing!
Even have something to look forward to in 2015, so excited to hear we have won a trip to the Lake of Stars in .........MALAWI , AFRICA ....OMG ....My best prize to date. Keep entering everyone an good luck to you all. You really have to "be in it to win it "

  • Early Christmas Present

    Thursday, January 1, 2015

Since I found ThePrizeFinder website I have been visiting it most days.
I enter competitions all the time, I have been doing so for the last 2 years. I've had a few wins, some small, some really good such as tickets to see Jools Holland, biscuits, cinema tickets, DVDs, a hamper, £50 cash, Amazon vouchers, make up, sweets, childrens books and a ball pool, which my daughter loved at the time.
I entered lots of advent competitions and the usual listings during December with no luck, then on Christmas Eve I received the best early present ever. I had won an XBOX 360 from an Asda magazine. My 10 year old son was over the moon. They emailed me on the 23rd and we had the prize by the 24th , it even came gift wrapped. It was a lovely surprise, I never dreamed I'd win but I did, it really shows you have to be in it to win it.
My son has said that the XBOX was the best present he received this Christmas and he has enjoyed every minute playing on it, so thank you Asda and ThePrizeFinder, if it wasn't for your listings I wouldn't have found the competition.

i always love December because there are so many advent competitions! In December I managed to be lucky enough to win a Strider balance bike for my son worth £80, all 4 home alone DVDs, a dog toy, and a chocolate bubbly santa! I've still got a few prizes that I've been told I've won too but have not arrived yet - some lego, a wedding dress cleaning voucher worth £105, and £100 worth of baby shampoos and bubble baths! I had a quiet few months before December when I did not win anything so I'm really happy to start winning again! Thank you Prizefinder for listing all these brilliant competitions!

I've been doing the competitions for almost a year now and I've been quite lucky winning small things.I started with ThePrizeFinder website and I'm going to continue using the website this year. Thank you so much for helping me win some prizes last year. My biggest win was a £200 Waitrose/John Lewis gift card which I won with a survey from Bauer via ThePrizeFinder website. This happened a few months ago,so this made our Christmas even better because we were able to buy some lovely stuff from Waitrose. Thank you again and Happy New Year to ThePrizeFinder :)

  • Make your own knickers

Another happy year comping and some super wins particularly from Pinterest which I love to do and can spend ages putting them together in the evening. My latest win through Pinterest was a crafting hamper full of buttons, ribbons and kits such as 'make your own knickers' :) Also a 12 month subscription to Mollie Makes was included so a gorgeous magazine to look forward to over the next year whilst I get busy with the needle and thread.

In the Advents I won a Lotus F1 Trunki case and a backpack/booster seat, both of which will be really useful for my 4 year old. The Trunki case is amazing as it has also been signed by the British F1 team!

I love the smaller prizes too and boxes of Readybrek, children's books and toiletries have come in useful. Looking forward to 2015 and hoping to try and do more effort based comps.

  • Comping Again

    Wednesday, December 31, 2014

When it comes to entering competitions my approach is rather all or nothing. I hadn't entered a single comp since about March. But with Christmas approaching and a house to decorate and sell I decided to start entering again. So with great enthusiasm I embraced the advents and with only 19 days into December I received a lovely email informing me of a much desired win, a king-size mattress.

  • Good night's sleep

We were moving house and my big old sleigh bed had to go. It wouldn't fit in the new house because it has a fitted bedroom. So I sadly put it up for sale. 2 days later, my partner asked if I had any emails about the bed. Well, not about that bed I hadn't, but I had an email from Very telling me I had won a Silent Night bed!! Result!!
