I entered the Classic FM competition 'Breathe'. You had to tell them who had inspired you in your life. I told them of my school maths teacher, an elderly gentleman, and how he had sometimes turned up minus his false teeth and 'gummed' his way through lessons. (Including the odd Steptoe - from Steptoe and Son, impression which those of my age will remember) A tiny man, he spoke of events in his life eg standing up to the school bully to defend someone even smaller than himself. How you should stick up for what’s right even when it’s difficult. Nearly 50 years ago now and I still remember him.
I got a shock when the phone rang a few days ago and it was classic FM, saying I was one of 3 people who may win the prize, just stay on the line and if I heard John's voice in a minute then I had won. I waited, the line went dead, I put the phone down. 2 minutes later it rang again, it was John, they were having technical difficulties and the line had cut out! I was actually the winner! I went on to Classic FM to speak of my teacher, and won a 2 night luxury break in Southampton including a river cruise and deep tissue massage for 2 plus £300 spending money. That will be a lovely treat for my husband and I next year.

A great bowling trip for all the family and a meal thrown in for good measure! October must be a lucky month and is also my birthday!

I'd had a break from comping for a long time and have recently started up again using theprizefinder.com as my source. My favourite recent prize was tickets to the fusion festival where I saw Take That (my favourites), I originally entered a fusion comp years ago and each year they email me asking if I want to go into the ticket drawer again - I've won the past 3 years. Sometimes it's the little prizes that make you smile though - like a squidgy minion that you can't get in the shops!

This is the first win I have had in months. What a fantastic book it is. We traveled to France this summer with the kids in our caravan and wish I had had this book then!!! We are planning on going again this summer so this will be perfect for our travels!

After sleeping on a mattress on the floor for over a month and entering numerous competitions to won a new bed, i finally have in and ordered one from the catalogue. That night i dreamt i won a bed, only to find out in the morning that i had .. I couldn't believe it!! #MyDreamBed

I recently won 2 tickets for the theatre production of Dirty Dancing and we went to see it this week. We had a great time and met the cast afterwards.
