Meet Our Latest Winners!

I was made redundant in November, so I thought I would try my luck and enter some competitions. I had heard lots of stories about people winning and thought it might cheer me up while hunting for jobs. To date I have won festival tickets for 4 people worth £400, tickets to the Ideal Home Show, a spa day worth £360, a selection of books, a coffee gift set and a spa weekend worth £600. I've just started a new job but I'm going to keep on comping, and hopefully winning too!

I have been comping for three years now and have been really lucky with some great wins.

I never had a hobby as a child and stumbled across comping quite by accident late one night when my kids were misbehaving and I was surfing the net. I entered a comp on the Prizefinder to go to a Sugababes concert and received a call the next day to say that I had won and could bring a guest to the Xbox launch party.

My son came with me and couldnt believe his luck as we had been sat on the stage when they came out. The girls were so close he could touch them (if he wanted) and it was like a private gig.

Well I was hooked. Friends often ask what the best thing I have won is. It is so hard too say. Today was definitely top of my list - I met David Beckham.

Comping brings opportunities to take part in experiences that money couldn't buy. I would recommend it as a hobby and am always delighted to hear when one of my friends wins too.

My husband was out of work from the end of November until the beginning of this week. He's usually the breadwinner and I'm a stay at home mum, so it was a difficult Christmas, not knowing when there'd be more money coming in. Luckily in November I won a hamper full of Molton Brown goodies including a beautiful big candle and that provided presents for four people (we did keep a few bits ourselves) and then I won a bag of Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom toys and DVD's from E4 which was the perfect present for my TV obsessed toddler! Christmas was still tough, but it could have been much worse. I also won a wonderful Christmas experience from Magic: skating followed by a ride on the London Eye with mulled wine, but I let my brother do this as unlike me he doesn't need a babysitter!

Other small prizes I've won in the last few months included a diary, an Abbot Ale tumbler (well they did have 1000 to give away) and lots of subtitled DVDs which we thoroughly enjoy. Thanks Prizefinder. Writing it down has reminded me how well I've done!

I was lucky to win last year on Tesco's Facebook page - a Fisher Price Bounce and Spin Zebra after writing a little poem. This is my favourite win so far as I am going to give it to my son on his first birthday in March and it's great to know even though money is very tight he will at least have one lovely present :)

I decided to start entering competitions to see if I could win prizes to use for our voluntary Bird Of Prey group. We rescue and re-home Birds Of Prey. I started in November and have won various prizes including 2 lots of theatre tickets, chocolates, £50 poundland vouchers, over £1100 worth of toys from The School Run, Perfume, bag, shoes and much more - in total over 150 prizes. We have used these prizes to raffle or sell to help raise funds and we've donated some to charities. I have met so many nice people while comping it's like having a new family. :)

I entered the Morrisons competition for Disneyland Paris tickets last year through ThePrizefinder.com. I could not believe it when I had a phone call from Morrisons to say I had won. The prize was for 4 people - 3 days in the parks and 2 nights in Disneys Hotel Cheyenne. With the prize was £150 of Morrisons vouchers to use for our shopping and they also provided a voucher for a discounted ferry crossing, which we used and travelled down by car. We took our 2 eldest grandchildren who are 7 and 9. I worked out roughly that this prize was worth about £700. I don't win much so this was a fantastic prize to get.

I have been comping with Theprizefinder for just over 9 weeks now and I've had some fantastic wins. I have won jewellery, clothes, food, theatre tickets and make-up. My total of wins has added to over £1000. My biggest win was my mini break to manchester with Jacobs Creek worth £500. I have also made some very special friends along the way including Di Coke. She's always there if I need her help and I couldn't have done any of this without Theprizefinder.

Although I have won quite a few prizes, undoubtedly the best was a week in Canada. My husband and I visted Montreal and Quebec and also had an exhilarating few days at Duchesnay, taking part in various activities. We went husky driving - 15 km through dark forests and and over sparkling snow covered plains, under a brilliant blue sky. We also drove snowmobiles (not my favourite as my husband turned ours over!) and visited the gorgeous ice hotel. That was truly a holiday to remember and treasure!

As the Harlem and Wolff shipyard came into view I was in awe. The birthplace of Titanic was famous around the world and I had won the chance to see it. As part of a Yours competition I won the chance with a friend to go to Belfast, to stay in a 4 star hotel, attend a master cooking class, and having luxury transfers all the way. I felt like a Queen. After winning just small things, winning a trip like this was amazing.
