I started comping in March after moving in to my own house. I an a single mum to a 23 month old so funds are tight. My first prize came a few weeks after starting - £100 boots mini club vouchers. I have since gone on to win nearly £2000 worth of prizes, some being a small prize such as a pair of headphones. My biggest wins to date were 2 lots of £500 with Pepsi Max and Studio Catalogue promotions. I also won £50 worth of ebay shop vouchers off a Prizefinder comp which was spent on toys for my daughter's birthday - she got the tent early!!

I won a £50 haircare set through the Prizefinder in May and gave up my hobby after a quiet spell with no wins after that. Having since moved and discovered I am pregnant, I have a lot of time at home, so I've taken up my favourite hobby again just 2 weeks ago...and am I glad I did! I have woken up to a lovely suprise today, a UPS man with a huge box containing £100 worth of LUSH products! I only entered this about 4 days ago and can't quite believe that I have won! Such a treat in hard times, it will come in handy for lots of relaxing baths to ease my pregnancy aches! Hoping to win some baby things next! Thanks again Prizefinder!!

  • Odds On for a Great Weekend!

I've just returned from an amazing weekend away, all courtesy of a fantastic hobby! A couple of weeks ago I got a phone call with the exciting news that I had won a VIP Raceday Experience with Dove & Grazia. It was for the Ebor Festival at York Racecourse with full hospitality & a night in a 4-star hotel. However when the arrangements were made there were no 4-stars available - so we were upgraded to a 5-star, whoop!! As York is 4-hours from us we decided to make a weekend of it and go to Alton Towers the day before (for free due to Tesco clubcard vouchers!). Saturday morning we dressed in our finery and arrived for a champagne reception, and it all got better and better. Food was amazing, free bar all day & betting money as well. Then off to our 5-star spa hotel for the night! Amazing how all my friends have now joined me in my hobby!!

  • Walking boots on their way

I've won a pair of Hi-Tec walking boots in a photo competition run by the Camping and Caravanning Club, along with no other than Ms Di Coke! Congratulations Di.

There were 10 categories in 'The Alternative Decathlon' competition, where you had to interpret Olympic themes with a camping slant, such as 'Discuss', 'Relay' and 'Beam'.

I entered a photo in each category and came joint third in the 'Hurdles' category with the photo of a red squirrel breaking entry into a nut feeder (right).

I didn't think it was my strongest entry - in fact, it was a last-minute entry just for the sake of entering something. It just goes to show that it depends what the judges are looking for and it's worth having a go.

I like entering 'skill-based' competitions, as you have to put a bit of effort into your entry, you can be creative and fewer people enter, so you have more chance of winning.

Thank you Prizefinder for the competition info!

  • Dandy Dick

    Tuesday, August 28, 2012

I have only just started to enter competitions through the site and couldn't believe it when I won a dance masterclass with Jo Wood (the promoter was Smooth Radio) but then I realised that I couldn't take it as I was on holiday - always read the terms and conditions! Gutted.
But a few days later, on my birthday, I got an email from the Lancashire Telegraph to say that I had won two tickets to see a new production of Dandy Dick at the Opera House in Manchester.
Tonight I went to the opening night and it was brilliant. Even better as Kylie from Corrie sat two rows in front of me.
Thanks PrizeFinder - it was a great night out.

I've been comping for about 6 months now. My first win was 2 family tickets to the Jubilee at Hyde Park, then I got an email saying I had won a crate of 15 bottles of strawberry cider. My daughter also had a win on here - she entered a Katy Perry comp and won The Sims and Katy Perry add on plus a large poster and her latest CD. My latest win is a necklace from Max & Chloe which I'm waiting for. I'm addicted to comping thanks to this site and can't wait to see what my next win might be.

  • £250 Tesco Vouchers

I started entering competitions about 3 months ago when I was bored one day after another long day at work. I was hoping at first to win a holiday within the first couple of days, as it will probably be a couple of years before we can afford to go anywhere, but soon realised that it would be hoping for a bit much and soon decided that as well as setting my sights on the bigger prizes, it would be sensible to aim for the smaller prizes as well.

This proved fruitful earlier this week when an unexpected parcel was delivered to our door. Having had no phone call or email to tell me about the prize, I was a little bit shocked and also overjoyed to find inside the box was a sample of Oust tap and showerhead descaler along with £250 of Tesco vouchers as winnings from a competition I entered a while ago but had forgotten about.

Needless to say that I am still entering voucher comps and looking forward to my next win and still hoping for the grand prize of a wonderful holiday, but at least most of our shopping for the next month has been paid for already!

It's been a great couple of months again. I've won lots of goodies. My best wins these last couple of months have been £200 Legoland tickets and £100 lego, guessing how many lego bricks was used to make a jubilee picture. I couldn't believe I guessed correctly, never thought I would win it! I also won a salad spinner and chopper salad bowl and Schwartz goodies on facebook and family tickets to the Thinktank in Birmingham which is only 1hr away and I'd never heard of it. We went last weekend and my kids loved it. I've also won over £200 in kids toys which I have put up till xmas. Thanks Prizefinder x

  • Amazing!!

    Saturday, August 25, 2012

On Christmas day last year I gave birth to my first child. I decided I was going to have a year off with my son and enjoy him growing up. My finances obviously dropped so I started to coupon and enter competitions, and I couldn't believe my luck! The first month just started as small items and I was so pleased to be winning useful items! But then after 7 weeks of doing competitions, I had a phone call that said I had won high tea for 20 people at my place of work AND a 40" LED samsung TV to watch the Wimbledon final on at work! To add to my surprise, the ladies stated that once the final had finished, it was then MY TV to take home with with! That prize was worth around £1000!

In my first month I had won prizes worth around £200, and my second month was around £1500! Including the TV, Converse trainers and various make ups from different brands!

All this is down to the competitions I do from THE best competition site, ThePrizeFinder!! Thank you!

  • Beginner's Luck

Last year I was down in the dumps when my mobile broke and I ended up using an ancient brick-like phone. My mum told me about this site so I had a search and found a few mobile competitions. Having never won anything I was a bit sceptical but decided it was worth a shot. Sure enough, a month after entering I received an email telling me that I had won a brand new Blackberry! Now being the sceptic i am, i thought that it must surely be a scam, so i thought nothing of it. Two months later, to my surprise a parcel arrived containing a brand new up to date Blackberry! Now I have a phone which I can actually fit in a pocket and don't need to hide from friends! I have caught the competition bug, I even have a 'competition' competition with my mum where I try to win more than her!
