  • Happy Hamper Winner!

    Posted by LADYJANE

    Wednesday, July 20, 2022

A Fortnum & Mason Hamper has been on my wish list for many years and I have been persistent in entering as many competitions as possible where they are being given away. To my sheer delight, I was absolutely thrilled to have finally won one with the Daily Express Jubille Competition. It's the beautiful Piccadilly Hamper and I will share the contents with my family & friends. Just the basket alone with the famous logo is a lovely keepsake and I can use it for many things. If you have your eye on something special you have always wanted, just keep trying and one day you may win it! Thank you Prize Finder!

  • Plethora of Plants

It often seems to me, that I win things that follow a theme. And this month’s theme is all green. Inch's Cider are running a generous purchase competition. I won a £35 Patch voucher which allowed me to choose these lovely houseplants for home delivery. The Patch website is very helpful allowing you to choose different plants, according to your gardening skills and to choose outdoor plants which will suit your garden. They also offer winners and losers a free pint of their cider, which is a nice touch. Following the green theme, I won seed balls from a purchase comp for Birdseye peas. There was a bit of a mix-up with the dimensions on the terms and conditions, and I was quite surprised when these turned up matchbox size. But, I rather like them. I also won these wildlife-friendly seeds from Rowse honey. I’m sure the bees will appreciate all the flowers that are going to be growing in my garden.

  • Tee for Two

I was very pleased to receive two t-shirts this week, both won from purchase competitions. The black, red and white t-shirt is from the Tennents Light competition. This competition is still running. I was lucky enough to hear about this competition very soon after it entered. That makes all the difference, I find, with purchase comps.
I was very pleased that this prize arrived very quickly. The second t-shirt is from Lucozade and is in their distinctive colours. This was a purchase and text competition. That took a little longer to arrive. But good things come to those who wait.
The Lucozade is a lightweight material, a sports top. I'm looking forward to trying them both out on my morning walk/jogs. Purchase competitions are my major source of wins. I'm always on the lookout for new ones and appreciate the kind compers who post on Prizefinder.
Enter early and enter often (if it's allowed) is my technique. I like to bookmark the sites on my browser, and work through the tabs as I watch TV.

Even the smaller prizes are a joy to receive so carry on comping.

  • TEST for my Fiance!

My Fiance and his best friend had been talking about really wanting to go to the cricket Test matches but the free tickets were only for Leeds fixtures which is a massive drive from the Midlands! I entered a competition on Facebook with LV for tickets for Edgbaston England vs India and was lucky enough to win! It was amazing being able to give them tickets to something I know they really wanted to go too - the look was priceless when I surprised them! Luckily his best friend was on annual leave too as it's just before his 30th birthday

It has been a very dry year for prizes and I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the congratulations email. I have won a £350 pair of Boa cycling shoes. My Daughter in law is over the moon as she has just taken up cycling. Also when I opened the box there were a few extra prizes in there. A pair of socks, 2 water bottles and a bag to put the shoes in. Thankyou so much Boa for making our day. The prize came from Austria and it was with me in under 2 days. Such a professional company that has gone over and above what they needed to do even keeping me informed every step of the way.
So the moral of the story is don’t give up. just enjoy your comping and eventually you will be rewarded with lovely prizes and you have the pleasure of doing your daily competitions

  • Buy a gift win a prize

Recently a friend of mine left his job. I decided to cheer him up and bought him some bottle of Magners Cider. I of course chose that brand because of the competition promoted on the bottles. I couldn’t believe my luck when a message flashed up saying that I had won a £500 staycation. The voucher is valid for two years which I thought was very generous.
I have been playing the Ribena Hasbro competition and have won a Cluedo and Monopoly games. I will give them to the grandchildren at Christmas.
In the SupportHer competition I have won several confectionery vouchers which is popular with my other half as he has a sweet tooth.
I hope next month will be another good one.
    Happy comping to you all.

  • A coffee break winner!

Instantly won on Nescafe Gold, a 6 month audio subscription e-gift card in the Win a Me-Moment promotion!
I am pleased with this little instant win, as the thrill you get when you see that WINNER coming up onscreen is quite something! To be honest I generally like creative comps which require a bit of effort, but its pretty good when you win one instantly too, as its a great buzz!
I generally seek out creative comps, which have a little bit of photo or creative writing effort, and sometimes get lucky on these, but this was INSTANT!

  • Monopoly All Change

I was very pleased to receive this full-size Monopoly game which I won in the Ribena purchase contest. It’s taken quite a long time to arrive, and I’d almost given up on it.

They’ve changed it up a bit. As you can see the box is a square and much smaller. The counters include a cat, a dinosaur, a duck and a penguin. What a world we live in.

They've also changed the community chest cards. Winning a beauty contest is out. Organising a street party is in. They're very worthy now. There was apparently a vote to select new community chest directions, but they didn’t ask me!

I'm looking forward to receiving the mini Ribena Monopoly at the end of July. I’m wondering how mini, mini is. I’ve seen some keychain Monopolies on the internet, so I’m hoping it’s a bit bigger than that, as something so small would be very difficult to play. Although if you got fed up, you could just slip it in your pocket and pretend it had blown away.

  • Cereal Win

The picture is proof that it is worth entering the Daily Spin to win competition on the Dorset Cereal site. Have been entering for some time and now have won the second prize. Really lovely selection of different Granola arrived. Dorset cereals were very easy to deal with too.
With the cost of groceries going up I am now going to check the listings on the Prizefinder for more foodie type prizes. It is also nice to try a different product to our usual brands , also will continue to support Dorset cereals. It's expensive to try new products in case you don't like them - so I think more companies should try promotions like this.
