What do you do once the kids have flown the nest? Go back to what you did before! For me that was comping, and two weeks ago I took it up again after breaking off for a few years.

With Daughter Number One at University and Daughter Number Two enrolled in College I started comping again on the 31st October 2013, courtesy of remembering that ThePrizeFinder.com was a great resource for keeping me busy 24/7.

Last time I was comping I won the Best Christmas Ever with Hasbro quite early on: Decorations; Hamper; Drinks and a 2-week Holiday for 4 anywhere in Europe. This time around? The Currys/PCWorld Promotion Daily pulled my name out of the virtual hat exactly 2 weeks after I started comping again.

So that's 2 Laptops, an XBox One, an i-Pod Touch and a Galaxy 10.1" Note Tablet on my first win! They're in the picture above sans the XBox One, those are in high demand, they will deliver it when they get more stock.

This was all delivered today, and today just happens to be my birthday :)

I'm under no illusions that wins like these are rare, for me maybe once every 18-24 months, but they and all the little wins in between are what make comping so worthwhile for me. But what really keeps me going is reading about all your wins - I check the Blog daily for updates and smile for all of you as your prizes turn up - and that inspires me to keep pressing on with more form filling, captions and battling with Captchas.

I thank ALL of you for all your help and inspiration. If you're thinking of taking up comping for the first time there's only ONE very important rule to remember: "You gotta be in it to win it!"

I was recommended theprizefinder.com by my comp queen sister and as I knew I could definitely make time for fun things to do I decided to give it a try.

I registered last week and after reading lots of the useful tips and suggestions began comping. So many competitions but I heeded the wise forum words and just entered the ones where I wanted to win that particular prize. A day later success... I received an email congratulating me on winning a 1 night stay for two at a lovely London hotel plus tickets to see Josh Osho perform. I am here now and just met Josho Osho himself. Checkout my room.......AMAZING!

Comping is fun and the rewards a bonus. Why didn't I start this years ago! I'm definitely a convert now.

Starteding comp in July and had some small wins like a Cook book, Rastamouse CD, pencil set, THEN came a big one which was the BT movie night comp which included an iPad 4, popcorn machine with bowl and seasonings, 24 bottles of Peroni beer, Star Trek DVD with ears, Pizza Hut voucher and a selection of sweets an chocolates. I love my hobby, I never know what could be next

I've been doing competitions on and off for while. I recently won two items, one being season 4 of the Modern Family, which is such a funny show. I also won a £50 voucher from justanother.co.uk, I bought two t-shirts with that from them.

I'm still hoping to win something like an iPad or a PS4, soon hopefully :)

There's a few instant win competitions that last a long time, and one of them is the Juice Burst spin game. You have to use an app called 'Blippar' on your phone, scan a bottle (or picture) of a juice burst and a spin game comes up.

I've been playing this game for quite some months now, nearly everyday, until the last day of October when I got 3 in a row and won a case of juice! They also give away an iPad every month.

The good thing about these type of competitions is that some people may not have a smart phone to use the app so you have a better chance of winning if you keep at it!

So never give up on those seemingly hard to win daily instants!

Just won my first prize! Two tickets to see the Barenaked Ladies at the O2 Academy in Glasgow thanks to Pepsi Max. I only bought a bottle because it was on special offer! I do love a night out at a gig even better when it's FREE! Happy days :D

I have been comping for over a year on this site and have had a few smaller nice wins such as hair care products etc. Having had a baby in february I stopped comping due to lack of time but decided it was time for a win so started again in July. Since then I have won a football, some tickets to the festive gift fair (pictured) and an oven glove! Not a great return for the hundreds of competitions I have entered! But a few weeks back I got an email stating I had won £500 to spend with Very! I managed to get loads for my money and it was lovely to get the prize as I only ever win little prizes so this was a real treat! I hope I will start getting some more higher value prizes, it does take time but a big win really does spur you on!

I won a signed England ashes shirt 2013 in a recent Facebook competition!

This is an amazing prize and my dad will absolutely love it when I give it him for Xmas!!!!
