After a quiet start to Jan 2016, winning this really made my day! I could never afford to spend £80 on dry shampoo/hairspray!
This is the reason I love this hobby so much, I get the chance to try stuff that I could never afford/heard of.
My dressing table looks amazing since I started comping!
Haircare is the one thing on my shopping list that I will always spend a wee bit extra on, but not £80 worth.
What really surprised me was because the first parcel ended up in Spain they sent me two collections, so in total I have £160 worth of hair goodies.
I'll be doing a L'oreal every time I use it! I am most certainly worth it!

Thank You Prizefinder for finding this competition for me, I won a £25 Tesco Gift Card - got the LWE just the other day - and I am so pleased! I have not had an LWE for some time and it really made my day! As this was a purchase necessary competition, I was so pleased, and I know lots of other people who won, too, but every penny saved is a penny earned and gift cards and vouchers have to be my favourite type of win as food is so expensive just now. I intend to treat myself to a lovely little spree and so what if I stray into the Florence & Fred section - I think I am worth it!! xx

After a barren period I suddenly seem to have hit the jackpot with the daily entry comps. During February I have had six prizes delivered including two from Christmas Advent comps - a Moon Globe from Win Christmas (will be OK for Christmas 2016!) and £100 M&B gift card from Delicious magazine. It seems the advent comp prizes can take some time to be distributed.

I was lucky in the C&B Soup and a mug draw with Tesco and have had five wins with daily entry comps, three of which have already been delivered.
    Revenant Goodies with Heatworld
True Story DVD bundle with Metro
    and
The Fear of 13 with Hallam FM
I am still waiting for a Dr Blake Mysteries DVD from City Talk and Phllips headphones from Heatworld. I don't do these comps every day but often keep a few open on the comuter to do the clicks during odd moments such as an advert or coffee break or even whilst chatting on the phone. It seems to be paying off.

I recently won a competition with Giovanni Rana to visit their London flagship restaurant for a pasta making class and a 3 course meal for Valentines day! The trip included train tickets and overnight accomodation, and was the perfect way to spend a romantic weekened! It was something that we couldn't have afforded to do otherwise, so was such a treat. We can't wait to make pasta at home now, lets see if it comes out anywhere near the same without professional guidance.

  • New James Bond found!

I've often maintained that our comping hobby gives us things we would never dream of. We are just back from a night away in the very plush Rosewood Hotel Covent Garden (5* luxury)where we had a gorgeous 3 course meal at the BT Tower and Q & A with Rio Ferdinand. Back at the hotel, they have a fleet of chauffeurs and low and behold there was this Aston Martin Rapide, which one of the drivers got the keys for and let hubby sit in it and revv it up. For once in a photo I didn't have to tell hubby to smile!! Now they are looking for a new bond.....

This month has brought two lovely wins for me.

The first was a portable PlayStation Vita console from the Daily Express competitions. This was a great surprise!

Then I received an email from The Lady magazine saying I'd won £50 of health food products in one of their competitions. Absolutely wonderful!

During February half term we enjoyed the short break to Cumbria that I won a few months ago with Smooth Radio and NS&I. It was so lovely, the prize was a dog friendly holiday and we had lots of long walks and a beautiful barn conversion with log fire.

Definitely some time spend enjoying some of my best wins this month. Good luck in the Easter competitions everyone!

I won a Tapas experience from a simple Twitter competition. My husband and I joined other winners and food bloggers at the New Town Cookery School in Edinburgh. There we met TV chef and restaurant owner Omar Allibuoy. We were taught how to make meals incorporating olives. My Steve became an olive convert! We had such a fun evening and yet again experienced something we otherwise would not have done thanks to comping.
