Hello everyone!  How are you all doing with January comps; anything nice to report?  Here we are with the next Lucky New Year 2016 daily competition.  Once again we have another £10 Amazon voucher up for grabs and this time we want to hear your best comping tips.  To enter you need to be a registered PrizeFinder member and logged into your account to leave me a comment with your tips.  My best tip is to be selective and patient – believe you will win and don’t be disheartened when it doesn’t happen overnight.  You have until 23:59 tonight (3rd January 2016) so get your thinking caps on!

Don’t forget that every entry you make into the daily Lucky New Year competitions gets you one entry into the Grand Prize Draw for £100!

You need to see comping as fun. I dont know why people keep track of how many they enter etc. Just enter and forget about it and wait for a win. Its fun!

My tip is to enter competitions that require a little effort. Such as photo comps or caption comps. You will find higher odds with these types of competitions. Just avoid the voting competitions.

My best tip would be to simply enjoy yourself! Once it starts becoming a chore you should maybe take a break. :)

Persistence definitely pays! If you go all out and enter as many competitions as you can one month, don't be fooled into thinking that if nothing comes from any of them you're just not a "lucky" person. Keeping going slowly and steadily month after month will pay better dividends than exhausting your enthusiasm by having a huge spurt, not winning and then giving up....and keep an eye out for local competitions too, the entries are often fewer and you stand a better chance of winning. Good luck in 2016!

Snap unusual photos throughout the year. It is surprising how often I have been able to use something I took a little while ago.

My tips is BE THOROUGH! Read the rules, check the terms and conditions, you don't want to accidentally invalidate your entry. Then, choose the comps you want to do, enter them, then forget about them... pacing up and down wondering if you're going to win isn't going to make it any more likely. Above all enjoy your comping, don't look on it as a chore, hobbies are supposed to be fun.

Have a spreadsheet where you can enter Facebook competitions and the closing date (websites and twitter tend to let you know) that way it's easier for checking on the closing date than sifting through ones you have entered on comping sites...
Enter everything, the more you enter, the higher the chances of getting something..
work on effort based competitions as these always have lower entries

My advice would be so search out competitions for specific things you want to win in arenas other than on competition sites, such as locally and on Google.

Enter competitions you really want to win the prize for if you have a wish list target each prize and enter for that don't be greedy entering everything

My comping tip would be "You have to be in it to win it" You can get all the competitions you could ever want from The Prize Finder. Oh and think positive. Good Luck everyone

When you can buy products months in advance, Keep receipts and entry forms in a concertina file marked up for each month of the year so at the beginning of the month you can send entries off, unless it's a daily or monthly draw then you could file a few in each month.

Only enter the comps with prizes that you can really use or enjoy. I'm a stickler for the small print so always read the T&C's. Do it because you enjoy it and always stay positive that a win (however big or small) will come your way

My best comping tip is to enter local competitions because you tend to have a higher chance of wining because they have fewer entries.

keep to a routine, get organized and treat it as a hobby, any wins are a bonus, you can go ages without a win then get 3 on the same day, so don't give up.

Go for competitions you really want to win. You might wait a while for a prize but at least you'll love it when you do win

Use your search engine to find and filter for local competitions - I've had lots of lovely treats for my family with these this year. They are harder to find but generally have lower entries so a better chance of success!

Make sure you enjoy it, and never expect to win so when you do its that bit more exciting! If you are finding it a chore take a break!

ive only just started with comping in the last few months, have always enjoyed freebie sites and trial testing products so thought i would try something new. I dont have any tips of my own other than reading Di Cokes tips. I dont like to enter competitions on Fb where i have to share as it clogs up my friends newsfeed, especially the amount i like to do. xXx

My best Tip for winning is to enter low entry competitions that take effort , less compers tend to enter in the expectation that the effort isn't worth it ..If its a Prize you really want then taking an extra ten minutes shouldn't be a barrier to entering .
