Hello everyone! How was your weekend, any nice wins to report? I won a set of gourmet burger sauces on Facebook and a choice of children’s onesie from a Twitter competition, which will be a lovely prize to put away for my eldest’s Christmas pile. I had a wonderful experience on Friday too – a comping friend whom I have never met won a lovely Sylvanian Families house in a Facebook comp, but as it didn’t come with any figures or furniture, and her children didn’t have any to fill it with, she has asked the promoter to send it to my daughter instead - what a wonderfully generous gesture! My daughter collects Sylvanian families, but doesn’t own an actual house of theirs, so will be over the moon when her birthday comes in July. Compers are some of the nicest people in the world, and this hobby really can bring out the best in people!
The weather has been lovely here over the past few days. My eldest had a playdate at a friend’s house on the south of the Island on Sunday, so while she was there my husband, youngest daughter and I spent a lovely few hours at the beach and walking along the coats. I had to make sure and get all my work done well in advance of Sunday though, as it is all too easy to forget about other commitments when the weather is so lovely outside. How do you manage your time differently when the sun decides to make an appearance?
When it comes to comping I find that as soon as the weather starts to turn I really need to organise my time as best I can. I want to be focusing in on things I really want to win, and entering competitions that are lower entry, maximising my chances of winning! Thanks to some recent changes on The PrizeFinder we have now made it even easier for you to get to your favourite competitions even faster. When you log into the website now, on the left hand side, underneath the all-important New Competitions and Closing Soon comps you will see some handy categories:
Top prizes:
Here you will find all the best, biggest and most sought after competitions on the internet. Any prize with a value over £100 will be automatically placed in this category. So if you are looking to win a holiday, a car, home tech, an iPad, large sums of cash or vouchers then this should be your first place to check out every day. If you don’t have much comping time, and are determined to win big, then this is your go-to category.
Popular Prizes
I am constantly trying to win several specific items – mainly a London break, a laptop for the hubby and anything Playmobil or Lego friends for the children. If you are trying to win something specific too, maybe a short break to Paris, a new TV, theme park tickets or a new BBQ, then we have some good news. The PrizeFinder has done all the legwork for you and has listed out lots of the most popular and searched for prizes all in one place. Now if you want to look specifically for washing machine competitions say, you don’t need to search the site or trawl through the Home & Garden or Gadgets & Electrical categories – you can pop into the Popular Prizes section and look right in the “Washing Machine” sub-category. It has never been easier to find competitions for prizes on your Comping Wish List
Favourite Comps
Maybe you don’t have a specific prize in mind, and you want to mix and match how you enter competitions too. Head over to the Favourite Comps section and you will be able to browse through a whole host of the best competitions available:
Supermarket Competitions
Here you will find all the latest and current competitions being hosted by the UK supermarkets such as Tesco, Sainsbury, Asda and Waitrose. These competitions will include all the online competitions as well as comps from their digital magazines, social media platforms and any creative entry ones too.
TV Competitions
In this area you have access to some of the best competitions being run by the UK TV channels, such as ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and MTV. You won’t be able to enter all the competitions in this section via an online method, but some of the prizes are so huge (think £70,000 in cash or a 14 night holiday, a car and a tech bundle) that you may want to enter them anyway! We will always list all the correct and accurate entry instructions for these comps including phone numbers, text details, cost of entry, postal addresses and any required answers to include.
Social Media Competitions
If you read about the recent spate of Facebook bans, you will be aware that entering lots of competitions on Facebook all at once is a big no-no these days. If you are in the mood for a social media comping session then head to this section and you will be able to enter a whole array of social media competitions all in one place – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+ and any others that pop up too!
Creative Competitions
Are you in a creative comping mood? Fancy taking some snaps or making some prize-winning recipes – then this is the place for you. Here you will find all the best creative entry competitions ranging from photography, making short videos, creative writing pieces, writing tie breakers and slogans and even creative comps for the kids – perfect for those half terms! Immerse yourself in this section and let your creative comping juices flow – creative comps are usually lower entry and as such there is a better chance of winning them if you make a good effort!
So there you have it, The PrizeFinder now gives you even more excellent tools to manage your comping time, especially when time is short. Whether you want to be bagging a massive, once in a lifetime prize, are after something specific to win or fancy a social media or creative comping session The PrizeFinder has everything you need to give yourself the winning edge.
