Meet Our Latest Winners!

Whilst browsing in a local charity shop, I discovered what I instinctively felt was a low entry creative competition being run on social media with the Highland Hospice.

I resolved to enter it, no matter what, as the closing date was 16th December and I knew that Christmas may be a reason that it would be low entry!

I was right, and I was the winner! #hhpreloved was the hashtag and my daughter took a photo of me bedecked in Christmas finery purchased from the local Highland Hospice in front of a Christmas tree at our local golf club. I won £100 Town and City Centre Inverness Gift Card which I was told about just before Christmas Eve, and it made me really happy!

It is always worth searching for low entry comps especially when there are other things like Christmas going on - and if it is a creative one, so much the better! Thank you!

On the run up to Christmas I won a gorgeous set of face and eye serums in an Instagram giveaway. I had decided not to enter all the advent competitions as they felt a bit stressful and had thousands of entries, so I concentrated on the daily Prize Finder ending soon listings, and found that some of these were advent giveaways but with a much lower level of entries which was great. And so I was lucky enough to win this set of face and eye serums worth £100 from one of these listings. I also won a beach towel from an Instagram advent low entry competition too which will be great for our caravan holidays in the summer!

This was a facebook win, a lovely fedora worth £99. I’ve wanted a nice fedora for years! Love this gorgeous woollen Sussex style in cinnamon!

From the sixth day of Christmas. I also 2 other advent wins, a £60 Virgin experiences card on the 3rd day and a Petplan cat blanket on the 1st!

I was lucky enough to win a two night spa break at Crewe Hall Hotel and Spa. It is a very historical building dating back to the 17th Century with amazing grounds. There is a new sports building were the pool and Spa are located and a new build for bedrooms and restaurant. I went early December and it was all decorated for Christmas and looked very festive. I didn't have any luck on the adverts this year but have learnt to concentrate on local comps during December. I look forward to 2023 with the help of ThePrizeFinder and CompersNews it is sure to be lucky.

What a December! I started off with a little win off the M&S sparks app, some string fairy lights. But the December wins were quality over quantity. I won a £100 Wallis gift voucher, a family ticket to the Roman Baths in Bath, a Le Creuset casserole dish and a £500 John Lewis voucher!!! Which was spent in the blink of an eye in the Boxing Day sales! I bought a new FitBit, Ring doorbell and Ninja air fryer! All the top specs and top of our wish lists. But by far the best Xmas present of all was the birth of our baby boy a little early, 10 days before Xmas!

Have yourself a merry little Christmas

Times are hard for everyone at the moment. I’m a single mum, working full time as a nurse yet making the money stretch is always difficult (especially at this time of year), so imagine my joy when I won not 1 but 3 comps in the run up to Christmas!

First up was the Tesco , text to win, Fruit Shot competition. I won a £25 F&F voucher which I used to buy my daughter and I Christmas jumpers. Then I received a notification from Sky to say I’d won 4 tickets for the Christmas illuminations at Bute Park (worth almost £70). Me and my daughter, along with my friend and her autistic son had a wonderful evening which really put us in the festive spirit! However, the icing on the cake was the email to say I’d won a £250 Tesco gift card in the Tesco/ Doritos competition (another text to win). The gift cards arrived this morning and will not only cover the festive food shop but also allow me pick up some extra gifts for friends and family!

It’s fair to say I was definitely on Santa’s nice list this year!

I was very pleased to receive a prize hamper of Horlicks goodies today. This was a win through Instagram. I even got to choose which Horlicks new shake to try (I opted for the Healthy Body one!). Good for my New Year's resolutions! I enter roughly 25 Instagram competitions a day. The prizes tend to be small but exciting when they arrive! I have also won shampoo and conditioner through Instagram, a Panettone and a bundle of beauty products. Carry on comping everyone! You never know what the New Year may bring!

I’ve had a very dry spell all year. I was not feeling optimistic about the advents even though I usually win something at Xmas even if small. But December has been the best ever. Started when my partner won a £30 Molton brown cracker on the daily game which counts as my win as he gave it to me. Then won a meal for 2 plus bubbly at my local coppa
Club restaurant - local comp advent . It had about 20 entries! Then the big one. In the semi finals of World Cup I was drawn to win a holiday to Oman. So 126th of 128 prizes. Then a John Lewis hamper with just you holidays 5 day advent. And today checked to see if a payment had gone in my bank and there was £1000 from Mastercard. Never had a run like this. Just shows you never know

For more years than can mention I have tried to win a posh hamper. This year I had an email from Pink Lady Apples to say I had won this lovely hamper worth (wait for it) £500. It is massive (over 3 feet long) and filled with gorgeous food and drink. Champagne, wines, sherry, a ham, smoked salmon, cheese, tea, biscuits and coffee in lovely tins and a host of sweet things including a pannerone bigger than my head!. I am going to use the hamper (after the dog has had a good sniff) as a coffee table in the snug. I love comping!
