  • When a prize does not arrive after two months!

I was chosen by Toshiba Lifestyle as the winner of a microwave in their March draw on Facebook. I dm'd my details and was told it would be "shipped" the next week. After 28 days I began messaging, tagging on the original winning post but no one answered. I emailed the London office and even wrote a proper letter to them but had no reply. When it got to 2 months I contacted the ASA online. The next morning I had a message saying it would arrive the next day! I suspect the social media is done by someone overseas as the messages came at 3am! The winner on Insta contacted me and we both complained to the ASA .I would not hesitate to use them again. I contacted David Smith to thank him and close the case. I will not wait so long next time!

  • This was a tag a friend comp and I was the lucky friend!

I usually enter the closing competitions first, we all have our favourite methods. Sometimes I work my way through the "prizes" if I want to win something specific though I seem to win random things rather than things I need!
I won this lovely bundle of patio cleaners, weedkillers and slug pellets by default really. A comping friend won and she had tagged me on Facebook so I won one too! I did have to badger the sponsor as it took a while to arrive ! I always add a pic when an item arrives and tag the sponsor too!

  • Coronation Street Party at Coronation Street!

    Wednesday, May 31, 2023

I want to say a huge thank you to Prize Finder for posting details of the most amazing competition that I won at the beginning of May. It was an ITV competition to win Golden Tickets to their King’s Coronation street party on This Morning live from the Coronation Street set in Manchester. Entry to the competition was by submitting a 60 second video nominating someone for the tickets, so I nominated my partner as he used to serve in the Navy on the Royal Yacht and had a photo of himself meeting Prince Charles. The ITV producers phoned up to say we had won a pair of tickets, and so we attended the Live Show of This Morning, and were sat just behind the famous sofa at the head of the table, and also joined in with the segment from the Rovers Return! We met all the stars of the Friday show - Dermot, Alison and Gyles were my favourites - and it was an unforgettable day. So interesting to see the programme being filmed live too! One of those money-can’t-buy prizes that are so special!

I entered a competition at Cosmopolitan Competitions via The Prizefinder and was lucky enough to win some great beauty products - Cetuem SCR gold illuminating skin cleanser and SCR Gold golden glow gel. I’ve been using them for about 5 weeks now and love the results. I officially won back in Feb and nearly missed out on receiving them due to messages going into spam so thankfully I found the message I needed to reply to just in time!

  • Cider win

This lovely blue Hydrangea was bought with A Patch plants voucher which I won from Inch cider. I always find if you have to go to the trouble of buying a product there are usually less entries, meaning more chance of a win .This competition had a very generous prize pot too.
An added bonus was the cider was very tasty, we will be definitely buying the cider again.
Now going through the listings on Prize finder to try to find some children's toys to win for the summer holidays.
Keep up the good work finding us competitions to enter.

  • Picnic Bundle just in time for May Holidays!

My latest lovely win is courtesy of Florette and Belvoir Farm. Two bottles of Coronation Sparking Elderflower , 3 Florette vouchers and a picnic blanket. As you can see I only received one of the Coronation bottles and one is the commoner version but who cares it is for drinking not saving. This was a facebook competition I do enter on Insta sometimes but have never won on there and it is years since I won on Twitter. Some of the delivery services are a law unto themselves - this one dumped the box on the step banged the letterbox flap and did a runner!

  • EasyJet win

Last year I won a £2000 EasyJet voucher with Walkers crisps. It was an hourly comp with £500 gallons Ben each houreach hour but once a day it was £2000. I was so lucky as I won the £2000.
I divided the voucher in to two holidays. Last year Menorca and this year in May to Zante!
My husband has really enjoyed these holiday and has asked me to concentrate on winning more holidays.
This month I have won Apple IPods through Kind Snacks and some drinking glasses from Hobgoblin Beer.
I love this hobby and thank you PrizeFinder for helping me feel competitions to enter.
Fingers crossed for an amazing June.

  • Coronation Quiche

    Wednesday, May 10, 2023

I haven’t won anything for a couple of months so I was chuffed to find out I had won one of 10 specially made Coronation Quiches from Hiddigy Pies on their Instagram page.
I must admit to being slightly worried as to whether a quiche would survive the delivery service! But it was duly delivered on the Friday before the Coronation along with a couple of extra £5 Hiddigy vouchers. It was so carefully packaged! The parcel even contained an ice pack to keep it cold.
We ate the quiche as part of a special lunch on Coronation Day itself with new potatoes, coleslaw and salad. It was absolutely delicious! A very unusual combination of broad beans, spinach and tarragon, but the flavours really worked. The pastry tasted really buttery and the filling generously cheesy too. Everyone loved it and wanted seconds!

  • Made Up with Make Up!

I have had a quiet month for prizes but was really happy to receive a notification from Savers to say I had won a recent competition they ran on social media to win a bundle of make up worth over £70! The prize arrived a couple of days later and had lots of stuff in it which I use regularly so means I won't have to buy any make up for a while! I also gave my daughter some of the make up I wouldn't wear so she was happy too! I love to share prizes with friends and family so this was a perfect prize! Thank you Prizefinder for all your listings!

  • A Most Intriguing Little Win

    Posted by lurchergirly

    Thursday, April 27, 2023

As we are in all things royal mode at the moment this prize is very apt! I entered a comp on Facebook with Mills & Boon to win ✨ A copy of A Most Intriguing Lady in hardback
✨ A bespoke wash bag hand-sewn by Marguerite Kaye, Historical Romance Writer in the colours of the book
✨ Hand-iced bespoke, most intriguingly themed, Biscuiteers biscuits!
I know poor Fergie has not received an invite to the Coronation but she has been busy giving interviews about her book maybe that is some consolation!
I love a prize with something unique and the little make up bag has a label sewn inside "made by Marguerite Kaye"
I am more of a thriller reader to be honest but my neighbour will love the book!
