Hello everyone! How is your week going, any nice wins to report? A very happy New Year to you all – can you believe it is 2016 already! I am not entirely sure where the last twelve months have gone, but they have disappeared in a whirlwind of work, comps, school, camping, tae kwondo, swimming and all manner of lovely things! How did you fare with the December comps and more specifically the advents? In between a lot of working, school carol concerts and other social commitments I managed to comp enough to win myself 12 prizes during December, which I am really pleased about! Let’s take a look at what I won (when I say “we” my husband did win one or two of these lol)
- An In The Night Garden Calendar, from their advent comp
- A pair of Mickey Mouse earrings, from a facebook comp
- A £20 M&S voucher, from the Zoflora Facebook instant win
- A personalised photo canvas, from the Photobox advent comp
- A Sudocrem prize, from their Facebook game (not been delivered yet so not sure what it is!)
- Several Krispy Kreme BOGOF and free prizes, from their Facebook advent game
- A family ticket to Paulton’s Park, from the Southampton Airport advent
- A £100 Hobbycraft voucher, from a Twitter party
- A £50 PizzaExpress voucher, from the Ramada advent comp
- A Star Wars cushion, from the Character Facebook advent
- A chocolate hamper, from the Oasis advent
- A bottle of champagne, from a twitter comp
So, as you can see I was actually pretty lucky during the advents this year, even though I didn’t enter anywhere near as many as I could have done. By the time I settled down in the evenings I didn’t have much get up and go to get up and get anything done! Overall for 2015 I managed to win a total of 130 prizes, totalling just over £3,000. This is actually a little bit down on last year, but I have been working more and the children have been busier too. I know a lot of people have won an awful lot more than me this year, but it just goes to show what can be done even with a full time job, a family business to help run and two busy daughters!
Anyway enough about me, let’s see how everyone else got on during December 2015
Laura44v had a great month winning such lovely prizes as a £100 ASDA voucher, a crafting kit, a Daz bundle, a personalised cushion, a set of baby bath products and a very posh filled baby changing bag worth over £500 – some great wins there Laura! Despite it being a busy time of year with two little ones xxme2uxx racked up some brilliant prizes during December including an In The Night Garden play table, a shot roulette game, a cake pop bundle and maker, a £75 gadget hamper and lots of other great goodies! VillageFox had a good month too winning themselves some great prizes including a visit to Santa locally, sunglasses or shoes, Miffy skittles, a Champneys gift set, a Mr Tumble bundle and a Sylvanian Families Christmas set amongst other things – some very happy little ones in your family I bet! Hamish666 had a lovely win of £100 of Star Wars toys from Match magazine, Kslade won a great family trip to Lapland UK, clarkehouse won a bottle of CK perfume and adilee won an Amazon Fire stick – some fab prizes! Prodigal won some lovely things this month too including tickets for Exhibitionism at the Saatchi Gallery, a chiropractic treatment worth £106 and a gym towel, and Joan returned from holiday to find a surprise win of a globe bowl aquarium!
I think the biggest let down during the advent comps this year has to be the Marks & Spencer Pass the Parcel competition. Every year we all get excited about this fast moving, easy to play advent competition, and usually we all manage to win some nice little bits from it – usually chocolates or some small accessories etc. However this year the competition only seemed to run for around about a week, and was offering lots more discount code prizes rather than actual, physical prizes. This meant that a lot of us missed out on winning anything at all – me included. All I got was a few 10% off codes, but nothing I would call a prize. Must try harder M&S, here’s hoping next year’s comp is a better one!
I think my favourite prize this month was won by bobngina who managed to bag themselves a brand, spanking new washing machine! By entering the web entry competition from Real Homes magazine they are now the proud owner of a Hoover washing machine which retails at £699 – what a fantastic early Christmas present that must have been!
So there we are, that should be enough to get you spurred on to win lots more lovely prizes during 2015. And don’t forget our annual Lucky New Year competition started today, so why not pop along to the main blog page and get involved!
Let us all know how you get on with January’s comps by commenting below with your wins. Don’t forget to upload a photo of your wins too for a chance to win a £50 voucher here.
I look forward to hopefully being able to share more of my own wins next month, and to reading all about yours!
Happy comping everyone, and lots of Lucky dust to you all!
