Hello again everyone! Did we confuse you putting our blog up on a Sunday this week, hope not! How was your week and weekend, any nice wins to report? Still going small but steady here – since we last spoke I won a £20 curry voucher in a twitter party, a Stand up to Cancer t-shirt in an AXA PPP Healthcare comp on twitter and a surprise Witch Blemish Stick arrived in the post. The t-shirt was great, and the customer service was excellent, as they kindly sent it out quickly enough so that my husband could wear it on Friday and support the charity event. Love it when surprise wins come too, what have been your best surprise wins? For us I think it has to be a huge Playmobil set and accessories that came in the post for my eldest daughter earlier this year – she won 3rd prize in their birthday competition, but there was no notification, it just arrived!
How are your Christmas preparations coming along, have you started yet? Got quite a few bits here now, and the children are now banned from my office as that’s where everything is stashed! It is an art in itself though making all the finances stretch to cover everything over Christmas isn’t it. I have found myself trying to be really good with my food shopping and cooking lately to get the most out of every penny – I like to meal plan and use what we have in the house in some way before we have to go and do a shop. There seems to be quite a lot of pasta in the house at the moment, so I could be making lots of different varieties of pasta based meals this week I feel! Not to worry though, we love pasta in our house so it won’t be a chore. Are your family pasta lovers? Have you ever tried to make your own pasta – I haven’t but would love a go. The key to making great pasta I think is good ingredients and the best machines and gadgets. The Prizefinder can help with one of this this month, as to celebrate World Pasta Day on 25th October 2014, we are giving away a fantastic Imperia Italian double cutter pasta machine! This heavy duty chrome-plated steel Italian pasta machine is a must for the creative cook, helping you to make three varieties of pasta (lasagne, fettuccini and tagliatelli). It has an adjustable dial to allow you to create whatever thickness of pasta you desire, and it comes apart for easy storage or clamps to a worktop.
To enter our exclusive competition all you have to do is to drop me a comment below (you must be logggd into your Prizefinder account first) and tell me what your favourite pasta-based meal is. Entries close at 23:59 on Sunday 26th October 2014, one entry per person and one winner will be chosen at random from all entries received. I can’t wait to hear all your yummy pasta dishes, so why not enter and try to win yourself a fantastic kitchen gadget!
Happy comping everyone, lots of Lucky Dust to you all!
Kirsty x
