Share Your October Wins

Hello again everyone!  October already, I am in shock!  Has your September gone as quickly as mine has?  With both my girls in full time school now, the days just blur into each other in a whirlwind of school runs, working, homework, dinners, showers and evening comping!  The weather is thinking about turning here on the Island, but we are hanging onto sunshine, and school summer dresses, at the moment.  It won’t be long though until the clocks go back at the end of this month, and we are properly into autumn, and on the run up to winter and Christmas!  Hurrah!  So, September hasn’t been a roaring success for me on the comping side – 13 wins, which is even worse than over the summer!  No big wins at all, just lots of small ones mainly courtesy of the instant wins and a few blog comps.  Here is a run-down of some of my meagre wins:

• Schwarzkopf hair mask, from the Facebook instant win
• 3 more wins on the Happy Egg Co Bee Happy instant win game
• Some mini Vosene 3 in 1 Kids hair care items, from their back to School comp
• An Usborne sticker book, from the Mum, That’s Me Blog n Twitter
• A bar of chocolate, from the Cadbury Win a Banger instant win
• 3 months membership to The Sticker Club, from Twitter
• A Forever Friends key ring, from their Twitter comp
• Some Belvita Breakfast Biscuits, from their Facebook comp

As you can see, my wins this month have been sponsored by the words “instant win” and “Twitter”!  Hopefully some of the end of month September wins will start to trickle in now, and I can have a better October!  Starting to focus almost entirely on Christmas now though – Amazon and M & S vouchers, toys, food, hampers, Christmas decoration items and anything else to put by for the season.  How about you, are you gearing up for Christmas already, or do you leave it closer to the time to get excited?

Posiekins had a good start to September, winning a personalised blanket for her baby being chosen as Baby of the Month on a parenting site, some Foster Grant sunglasses from a Take a Break click to win comp, an instant prize from the Happy Egg game and a bundle of kids’ books from Parentdish.   Scot1 had a lovely win of £200 to spend on the Brook Taverner website, in their August Facebook comp.  Karenwalby broke her dry spell, winning her first prizes since February – 2 wins on Happy Egg and a Mary Berry cookbook from Family Ties.  Kslade had a good start too – 2 wins on the Higgidy game (which has now finished), and a blue steel gold watch from the Wacthes2u daily competition.  Laura44v had a fantastic month bagging some lovely prizes including Old Jamaica Ginger Beer to test, some HIPP baby food, the whole range of Beyond Bronze tanning products from fake Bake on Twitter, some soap from True Blue Lizard (a second drawing of an unclaimed prize) and a craft business start-up course and mentoring worth almost £200, to name a few!  Gorts17  and kylie1dw both won £5 Weird Ape vouchers, as runners up in their Facebook comp.  Joan had some lovely wins including an iPod Shuffle from GoodtoKnow, and a DVD of Cuckoo Series 1 from WinSomething.  Xxme2uxx had another successful comping month winning such lovelies as surprise prizes on the Happy Egg instant, Alice in Wonderland cups & saucers from a Handmade Boutique comp, an X Factor t-shirt from their instant win and some Models Own make up from the Echo Falls instant win.

I think my favourite, odd prize this month was won by Brooks -  a sachet of bubblegum Angel Delight!  Random doesn’t even cover it, but I am sure their grandson enjoyed it immensely! 

My favourite prize won this month was won by xxme2uxx.  She won £500 of paintballing vouchers from the Student Guide comp.  What a great win, I bet you will all have loads of fun when you book your paintballing session!  Send us some photos!
