Hello again everyone! Well we did it, we survived the summer holidays – woohoo! Seriously, I did really enjoy having the children home for the summer, but by the end of August bickering between them was starting to set in, and the juggling required to manage working from home, running the house and the kids was getting to a level that a circus performer would struggle to keep up with! My eldest went back to school last week (Year 4, big girl now), and my youngest starts in Reception class today – very exciting times! How was your summer? Are you, like me, secretly glad to have a bit of normality back, or would you happily have summer all year round?
The children will no doubt be very tired for the next few weeks, adjusting to life back at school. This means we can have some nice quiet after-school sessions catching up on a few movies and some good books. I might even be able to read some of the eBooks I have stored on the iPad for myself – I download them all the time, but never seem to get chance to read them! How about you? Do you have a favourite reading time or spot? Do you like to read in the bath when you get some “me time”? Are you a bed-reader? Would a £50 Amazon voucher help to increase your library of hard-copy books or eBooks? I thought it would! Well, to celebrate Agatha Christie Week (14-21 September 2014) and Roald Dahl Day (13th September 2014) here at The Prizefinder we are offering our lovely members the opportunity to win £50 of Amazon vouchers, for you to spend on whatever you like, in our exclusive competition! You could treat yourself to a whole book-shelf of books, or several MBs of eBooks, how about some eBooks or paperbacks for the children, maybe some Christmas stories to squirrel away – the choice is yours! All you need to do to enter is comment on this blog and let me know what your favourite book of all time is! For me it is a tough choice – I love old historical fiction and non-fiction like Anne of Green Gables, Little Women, Little House on the Prairie etc. But I think my go-to book has to be Pride & Prejudice – must have read it 100 times, and it still feels like a comforting blanket and a bowl of homemade stew in book-form every time I read it. Entries close at 23:59 on Sunday 14th September 2014, and you need to be a registered member and logged into your account to enter. So, give it some thought, and drop me a comment below – I am looking forward to reading all your great book suggestions!
Happy comping everyone, lots of Lucky Dust to you all!

Afterlife by Alex Scarrow thought provoking and riveting
My favourite book is The Crow
My favourite book is The Crow Road by Iain Banks It's a fantastic book that grabs your attention with it's opening line "It was the day my grandmother exploded." and keeps your attention for the next 500 pages drawing you in to the story of three Scottish families with a complicated, interlocked history.
I absolutely love Little
I absolutely love Little Women and Anne of Green Gables too (the movies are a big favourites too). I read them a few times but it was always borrowed so if I would win the voucher, I would treat myself to these classics, so I can read them whenever I want..and especially now that winter is coming and it's the best time to snuggle under a blanket, with tea and biscuit..and just get lost in the story line. I love that era, it's pure and magical.

Not many books can get me laughing out loud - Narrow Dog to Carcassone by Terry Darlington does just that even after a few readings. It was the first one my book club read together and we all just loved it. If you like dogs and don't mind a writer who writes as he thinks and speaks with a little down to earth language then give it a try.

Unearthly by Cynthia Hand. An amazing book, which sort of reminds me of Twilight but with a difference and the ending is so completely different to what you think it will end as.
