Hello everyone! How is your week going, any nice wins to report? Well it has arrived, November! I love November as a comper as it means the clocks have gone back, the children are back to school, Halloween has passed and the next thing to look forward to is CHRISTMAS! As many of you might know I am a bit of a Mrs Christmas and a Christmas Fanatic, and of course Christmas for compers means Advents! I know I am getting a bit ahead of myself, but now we have moved house as well I can properly get my comping groove on for the big push towards the best comping season of the year.
October was a bit of a bust for me, as I was so busy getting plans ready for moving house, including moving schools. I did however still managed to win three prizes over the month, which is a bit of a miracle really - let’s take a look at them
- A Dorco Eve razor, from a Facebook comp
- A Kindernaut backpack, from the Kinder online comp
- A rum tasting kit, from Appleton Estates on Twitter
I have won the rum tasting kit in a previous comp, and it was a lovely teat to arrive and enjoy in the post. It also meant we could join in the rum tasting Twitter party that went with the campaign, but we didn’t manage to win a prize this time – hubby won a full bottle of £30 rum last time!
Right, let’s take a good luck at what some of our lovely members have been winning during October 2016:
A few other members as well as myself last month were notified that they had won a mini Budweiser BBQ from the Bargain Booze Facebook comp – well done everyone! Several members had great appliance wins this month including a new washing machine for Postie58 from a Facebook comp, a fridge freezer for Elizabethwai and a wine cooler fridge for Jdore1967 from another Facebook comp – well done all you winners! VillageFox had her usual consistent winning month during October bagging such lovely prizes as tickets to Kidtropolis (even though she had to refuse the prize as she couldn’t get to London in time), a Play Dough sweet shop set, a Fisher Price Bob the Builder toy, two tickets to a local cinema and a Harry Potter colouring book – well done! Lindowal broke their three month dry spell by winning a very posh table lamp from Make it British, and Gshon had her first win since starting comping in July – a fabulous £100 from Heart FM! Buddie won some baking bars and a glove puppet from some Facebook comps, and Szekeres101 won a Toleraine Ultra 3 step system on Twitter. JoanneMinky had a festive month during October by winning a Christmas craft kit worth £42 from a Facebook comp. and Wendysum66 won herself a free massage in her first ever win – congrats! Simonh78 also got in touch to tell us about all the fab prizes he has won since finding The PrizeFinder including a PS4 game, a sandwich bag, two tickets to a global fan event in Leicester Square and a family ticket to Rave-a-Roo – so glad we could help you start your winning success story so well!
We had a few very disappointed members this month after they thought they had won £700 of His & hers Fragrances from Beauty Base. This unfortunately turned out to be a glitch – it is really quite upsetting to get all worked up about a comp only to find out it was either a scam or there has been an error with notifying the winners. Unfortunately it is just one of the minor pitfalls of comping and thankfully it doesn’t happen very often.
A HUGE congats has to go to Morganv6 this month who has managed to win one of the big three comp holy grails – a fabulous Mini One 1.2 CAR worth £14,000 from an ITV competition! They won this amazing prize from one just entry via the postcard entry, so it just goes to show that these top prizes really can be won from the lowest cost entry method, and you don’t always need to spend a fortune – super congrats!
Let us know how you get on with November’s comps by commenting below with your wins. Don’t forget to upload a photo of your wins too for a chance to win a £50 voucher here.
I look forward to hopefully being able to share more of my own wins next month, and to reading all about yours!
Happy comping everyone, and lots of Lucky dust to you all !
